ZaraCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: Zara draws the eye, not because she is a great beauty but because she emanates authenticity and honesty. She has never been one to care what others think, and in her, masculine and feminine meet, producing an androgyny that appeals to both men and women. Lanky, yet strong, at 5' 7", Zara possesses a quiet elegance in her fluid movement. Although not voluptuous in any sense, there is a subtle roundness to her hips, atop her muscular, long legs. Personality: Zara is weyrbred through and through. Independent, strong-willed, and resourceful, she's a woman who speaks her mind… To people in her close circle. The definition of an introvert, large groups and small talk are not her strong points. Zara prefers the company of her closest friends, letting her wit and loving nature take centre stage. Put her in a group of strangers though, and there's nothing more awkward than her version of social interaction, which regularly leaves her exhausted and second-guessing herself. History: Zara was born and raised at Ista Weyr, the culmination of several generations of dragonmen and women. The only child of a duty driven brownrider and capricious greenrider, her parents were nevertheless loving in their own unique ways; her father, during his rare downtime, would take her on small explorations of Ista’s beautiful beaches and hidden coves, while her mother flickered in and out of her life, showing her love with beautiful little things: a set of polished stone dragons in coordinating coloured stone or drawings of the three of them when Zara was young. It was during one of these explorations that Zara impressed her blue fire lizard, Aerie, and through her mothers love of art that she found her own creative talents. Information about Zara's pets Pet Name: Aerie Pet Type: Blue Firelizard Appearance: A pale, milky blue, Aerie doesn't have the vibrancy of his coordinating dragon friend, Huntreth. Everything about this fire lizard is small, and he tends to spend more time darting around anxiously than relaxing. His eyes give evidence of his mercurial mood shifts, often whirling quickly between colours as he worries about this and that. Personality: Zara impressed Aerie at 15, a year prior to impressing her dragon. The little blue is prone to separation anxiety and is extremely loyal. It took him some time before accepting Huntreth into their lives, but once he did, the dragon was firmly part of the team. For a blue, Aerie is a bit of a stress case, and natters away at Zara whenever he feels she's in any danger of being hurt, even in the most unlikely situations. Information about Zara's dragon Dragon Name: Huntreth Colour: Blue Age: 9 Wing (Weyrling Group): Firedance Appearance: Deep, liquid blue flows across the hide of this dragon, punctuated here and there by ripples of lighter shades. Huntreth is a bit on the larger side, though not at all bulky. Instead, his body is sleek, his movements fluid and graceful, much like his riders. His eyes are intensely expressive, a product of his empathetic nature, and his snout is long and angular, giving him a stately appearance. Personality: Huntreth is very much like his rider, and prefers to march to the beat of his own drum. He’s very thoughtful, and his occasional introspective comments surprise Zara. Like his rider, he prefers small groups to large, and isn't prone to lengthy conversations with dragons he doesn't know. He tends towards caution, which is probably a good thing when Zara pushes herself too far; he’s always ready to reel her in with some draconic advise. Weyr of Origin: Ista Abilites and weaknesses: Huntreth has a talent for discovering excellent blue and greenrider candidates. During thread fall he is a solid fighter with more stamina than some other blue dragons. He does have a weakness for flying to ladies' rescue, which has occasionally put him and his rider in difficult situations.
