Appearance: Plain as a post is a good way to describe Androndra. Her hair is a medium brown color, hanging just past her shoulder blades when its down, though normally she keeps in a braided bun at the nape of her neck. Her eyes are also brown, similiar in color to her hair. Average type face, average type height. A person would be hard pressed to pick Andronda out in a crowd.

Personality: While Andronda is plain as a post physically, personality wise she is anything but. Vivid and vibrant, Andronda is a very out-there sort of person. She wants to be in the thick of things, especially things that could be interesting or fun. She'd rather avoid the boring, the dull, or otherwise 'dirty' work, if she can manage it. And if she can't avoid it, she'll pull in as many other hands as possible to make it go that much quicker so she can get back to better things.

And though it may not seem like it on the surface, Androna has a stubborn streak to her. When she decides she wants something, she sets herself to getting it, one way or another. She would prefer not to resort to sneakiness to get her way, but if that's what it takes, so be it.

History: Andronda was born in a Holding in the Telgar region, a Holding that centered around grain-growing and the brewing of beer and ale. The Holding itself was owned and run by her uncle, while her father had charge of the brewery. Like the rest of her siblings and cousins, Andronda was put to work in the fields, in the Brewery, doing any of the thousands of chores needing hands to do it.

She didn't mind life in the Hold, though she often wondered if there wasn't something more for her out there. Even getting married would have been fine, if she'd actually had any suitors vying for her hand. But plain as a post, with much prettier sisters around her, even that seemed like another far off dream for Andronda. Fate had something of a surprise in store for the young woman, though.

Fate being a green dragon riding on Search. A clutch had been laid in the Telgar sands, among them a gold egg. Of course the Weyr would want as wide a selection as possible for the clutch, and Andronda and the rest of those of suitable age were brought out to be looked over by the dragon and her rider. Of those there, Andronda and two of her cousins were chosen to go to the Weyr, to their great joy and surprise.

Life in the Weyr was as much of a shock as anything could possibly be, and was something Andronda struggled to get used to. She was determined to adapt; this was the adventure she had dreamed of, and she was determined to embrace it. And then the Hatching came. Andronda and all of the other girls waited with excitement and fear for that golden egg to Hatch, and when little Nykantiath came for Andronda, the woman could scarecly believe it. She had Impressed a gold!

Weyrlinghood was a blur of activity and learning, getting used to her new position and her dragon, who was definitely a handful. It also gave her time to realize that she wanted to be more than just the youngest junior gold rider in the Weyr. She wanted a chance to prove that she and Nykantiath were capable of being more, holding a position of power, something she wasn't going to get in Telgar Weyr. Pestering Cathern about the matter made Androna something of a thorn in the Weyrwoman's side, and the woman quietly arranged for a transfer for this newest of junior Weyrwomen. Information about Andronda's pets

Pet Name: Marble

Pet Type: Brown Firelizard

Appearance: Marble is on the larger size for a brown flit, and not just in length. He's a chubby creature, and he'll never really slim down. Like his name might indicate, Marble is a dark brown color, with lighter creamy brown swirling all over.

Personality: This is a flit who enjoys being pampered. Being bathed and oiled will be his favorite hobbies, followed by draping himself over his Pet's shoulders and being cuddled. If he can't have his Pet's attention, then her dragon will do just fine, as long as *someone* is holding him.

Second Pet Name: Pochi

Pet Type: Blue Wher

Appearance: Well, no one could ever say that Pochi was going to be cute, being a wher and all. But he does have a more rolly-polly appearance, being a little chubbier than a wher normally looks. Mostly because Pochi loves treats, especially human-based foods, and not just meat. His hide is a solid cobalt blue, without any kind of color variation in it.

Personality: Pochi is very food-motivated, if that food is coming from Andronda, or those Andronda have given permission to. When its just Andronda around, he's a happy ball of wher, wanting to play or simply bask in his Human's attention, but when there are strangers around, Pochi's training will kick in, and its all business, baby.

Dragon Name: Nykantiath

Colour: Gold

Age: 3

Wing (Weyrling Group): Gold Spark

Appearance: Nykantiath is on the small side for a gold. She's slim and dainty, built more for speed and agility in a gold than outright strength. Her wings are slightly longer than average for her body length, lending aid to that agility. The main color of her hide is a deep antique gold, shading into a lighter amber around her eyes and nose, giving her the appearance of having a mask, almost. The upper side of her wings have a lighter gold patten that looks feather-like in appearance.

Personality: This gold is an explorer at heart, and wants to see as much as she can, and try anything and everything. She doesn't want to be contained to the same old thing day after day. Give her the new, the exciting, the unseen! A bored Nykantiath is a sullen Nykantiath, and when she'd bored, she *will* go seeking excitement, even if it means she has to make it herself. If she absolutely must stay in one place, then she had better have something or someone to entertain her. Music and story-telling are favorites of hers, the more flamboyant or outrageous, the better. She definitely keeps her rider -and anyone else around her- on their toes.
