Name Pronounced: Sah-har-ee
Appearance: This woman is of average height, but possesses a thin, wiry, muscular frame. Her skin is darkly tanned, and marred by all manner of blemishes: scars, pock marks, stretch marks, tattoos and occasionally the odd mole. She has short, dark hair that has been sparsely streaked with grey, and eyes the colour of mudbrick: a faded, light brown. Her teeth are crooked and off-white. Her front canine is chipped. Her nose may have been broken once or twice in the past judging by the tilt to it. There is a stubborn, tenacious vitality about her.
Personality: As a younger dragonrider, Sahari was a rough-and-tumble sort who got into her fair share of fights and misadventures, and often was on the receiving end of punishments doled out for back-talking superiors. Still, she always walked a fine line, and earned enough commendations while fighting Thread to make her rough patches bearable. In her older age, she has mellowed considerably - though is still quite confrontational when pushed and "back in my day" when accosted by younger members of the Weyr. She has a cutting sense of humor, and a casual arrogance.
History: Born within Ista Weyr and raised up by a fairly liberal foster mother, Sahari impressed Oachayth - uncharacteristically, given her sex and sexual orientation, but perhaps due in large part due to her tomboyish and aggressive nature. From the start she was troublesome, fighting with Wingmembers and fellow Weyrlings, and rubbing her superiors the wrong way. Despite everything, however, she survived to distinguish herself during several Threadfalls, and eventually became a Searchrider due to her dragon's uncanny ability to quickly identify potential candidates.
Information about Sahari's dragon
Dragon Name: Oachayth
Wing (Weyrling Group): CloudDancers
Appearance: Oachayth is of average size for a blue dragon, though thickly muscular and a little squat by all appearances. His hide is a deep, matte blue that has been crisscrossed by a fair share of pale scarring and faded Thread scores. His eyes are bright and multi-faceted, many-coloured. One particularly notable scar stands out from the others, winding down one of his head knobs and across the top of his head, mottled and faded like an old burn mark.
Personality: Oachayth, unlike his rider, is not hot-headed, impulsive and aggressive. Instead he is fairly stable and steady and calm - most times, at least. He is gentle with dragonets and Weyrlings, but still has the same stubborn, tenacious streak that his rider embodies - it just presents itself in more socially acceptable ways, as during Fall or mating flights. He will support his rider, however, despite lacking her impulsive aggressiveness, though will often gently chide her, too, and encourage her to be more calm and reserved... with mixed results.
Weyr of Origin: Ista
Abilites and weaknesses: Oachayth has had through the years a reliable, innate sense for picking out candidates while on Search.
