Ry'lenName Pronounced: Rye-lehn Appearance: Ry’len has grown slowly over the course of his life, finally settling at a mere 5'6". He seems more feminine in appearance, both petite and fragile with the narrow shoulders and tight hips, his body having only mere traces of muscle across his torso and limbs. His face has a childish look to it, the slight puff of baby fat lingers there, a good portion of that placed firmly over his cheekbones. His hair is dark brown, and very curly, even when cut close to his head. His lips are lush, set in a narrow line, the lower lip holding a bit more width that the upper. He has large blue-green eyes, and a straight nose set in the center of his features. Personality: Ry’len tends to have his nose buried into something to read, preferring written words over those spoken. Though he can expression his opinions quite satisfactorily out loud, he tends to have difficulty phrasing what he wants to say. He's much better at delivering pre-planned lectures, since they offer a structure to follow. Ry’len is a polite man, even if he hides as much as he can behind papers. He's gotten better at interacting with people, much more so than when he was a new Weyrling. Generally he is very sweet to people, being as kind as he can be and keeping ill-thoughts of people to himself...no matter how stressed some people might make him. History: Ryahlen is the youngest son born to a pair of holders in High Reaches Hold. Even at a very young age it was clear that Ryahlen was a born scholar, preferring to have his nose buried in books and studying things around him rather than being out running around. If he could have had his way, he’d have spent his entire childhood in a corner, reading. But his brothers of course, wouldn’t let him have his way. Any chance they got they’d drag him away from his reading to play games with them, despite any protests Ryahlen might voice. Thanks to his brothers’ intervention Ryahlen grew up physically fit, and he does take care to make sure that he does get a decent about of exercise so that he stays fit. Information about Ry'len's pets Pet Name: Reynard Pet Type: Bronze Firelizard Appearance: (Radiant Starlight Egg) Several rays cast their brilliance across this egg as though having came from somewhere above the egg, but, if someone looks, they'd find no source. Those sunbeams are part of the shell and catch fluffy storm clouds in their unrelenting grasp, so they appear even darker. It seems like a glimpse of brighter things Personality: He's small but doesn't seem to realize that, perching so regally on Ry'len's shoulder it seems he must own the area around them. Wherever they are he won't wander beyond eyesight of his *pet* because there's no way he could possibly consider someone his owner. Information about Ry'len's dragon Dragon Name: Hagryth Colour: Brown Age: 11 Wing (Weyrling Group): WeyrlingMasters Appearance: Wait, is that even possible? How big IS that brown? Such will be the likely reaction to Hagryth, who is, admittedly, a monster for his color. Rivaling the size of a small bronze, Hagryth is compact and heavyset, with a round belly he will never quite grow out of and arms and legs that seem to have a greater circumference than those of his peers. He has a longer than average tail, even for his amazing size, though his neck seems to be shorter than normal. His wingspan, however, is daunting, making Hagryth to be a fantastic flyer. A deep chocolate brown, Hagryth’s hide is uniform from tailtip to muzzle, except in one place: under his chin. A pocked tan patch covers this area of his body like the stubble of beard, and this marking will make him distinct among his brown brethren, even if it is small in size. Personality: Something is a little funny with Hagryth. Likely people will never be able to put their fingers quite on it, but this dragon is *different* from other dragons. For one, there's his unusual accent, which will not fade as he ages but instead deepen and become one of his telltale traits. He will be prone to slang and shortened words, especially favoring unusual contractions, and a sort of rustic, lilting slur will mark him as he grows.
