Character type: Harper
Appearance: At first glance, Roshan looks like a boy, perhaps thirteen turns old. At second, third, and fourth glance as well. All carefully cultivated to hide her true gender and all for her own protection outside the Harper Hall.
Personality: This Harper apprentice is everything many of the young boys who come to the Harper Hall are: bright, inquisitive, open-minded and friendly. She speaks less and listens more than most, well accustomed to following orders without needing to know all the whys and wherefores. In fact, in an emergency she looks toward the most likely leader for guidance and keeping out of the way if not given a task to do or a definite place to retreat to.
History: Roshan was six turns old when her father was recalled to the Harper Hall, but not for reassignment as everyone assumed. Instead, Hannon was to assist the new Master Archivist. Hannon and his wife Jirosa welcomed the change except for one thing - what to do to protect their only child from those who might harm her from the nearby Hold and Weyr. Despite offers to foster her with family in Keroon, they decided to keep young Roshan with them. Instead, they cut Roshan's hair and dressed her in boys' clothing. All those inside the Hall would likely realize the truth, but perhaps posing as a boy would fool any casual observers.
Information about Roshan's pets
Pet Name: Cadi
Pet Type: Green Firelizard
Appearance: Cadi will be starving when she hatches - even more so, it seems, than other firelizards. And from every moment on, she’ll be on the constant lookout for more food. She won’t be shy about begging or lifting it off another’s plate either. Oddly enough, despite this apparent avarice, she’ll never get fat. In fact, even at full maturity, she’ll still be one of the smallest of her kind, and scrawny besides. Her size will be good for one thing. Cadi’ll be extremely nimble in the air, even compared to other greens.
Personality: Cadi is intelligent for a green and is perfectly able to carry out simple instructions. Whether she’s willing to do so, however, depends on how well you treat her. Be her friend, and there’ll be nothing that she would not attempt on your behalf. Sometimes her enthusiasm will get her into trouble, as she attempts to go above and beyond the call of duty, or at least, her limited perception of what that duty ought to be. Nevertheless, you’ll be hard pressed to find a more loyal friend.
Information about Roshan's dragon
Dragon Name: Unikith
Wing (Weyrling Group): Miscellaneous Riders
Appearance: All the dragons of this Clutch are small but Unikith is tiny even compared to them. At hatching, she was closer to the size of a wher pup than a regular dragonet. She's going to keep that compact size too, which means that Unikith is never going to be a dragon who is much use in Thread. When fully grown, she'll be able to carry her rider on short journeys - a brief hop and jump *between* works all right for her - but more than thirty minutes or so in the air with a rider on her back and she'll be struggling.
Personality: Somehow Unikith's extremely small size doesn't impact on her positivity. Unikith is *aggressively* positive. Everything is awesome, everything is cool, and she will not tolerate anyone saying otherwise. She will love Arolos with every mote of her being, and be happy to welcome newcomers with a long list of just why it is so wonderful. No negativity of any kind with be tolerated, particularly from her rider.
