Q'rianName Pronounced: Kuh-ree-an Appearance: Q’rian is just a smidgen under six feet tall and is broad shouldered with quite slender hips for a man, giving him a vaguely triangular build. He’s well-muscled as you’d expect of a rider with good length legs for his height. Medium brown hair which pales slightly at the tips adorns his head, sweeping back from his forehead, and bright blue eyes, the colour of the sky in summer, are framed by dark lashes and brows. His nose has rather a lump on it which points to an injury many turns ago. Personality: Q’rian seems to be a quiet and serious young man because under normal circumstances that’s what he is. He’s able to be outgoing when the need arises, as it does often with his dealings with weyrlings, for they need to know that he’s approachable and willing to talk to them. After all, weyrling life isn’t just about learning the lessons that they must, but also adjusting their maturity to the level appropriate for a graduated rider. History: Just another weyrbrat, Qandarian was raised in the creche for the first few turns of his life, then his mother’s sister, one of the crecheworkers, took more of an interest in him and from that point on she fostered him. He had a fairly untroubled childhood, growing to love being amongst dragons, and when he found that his mother Qandi was a greenrider he begged to be allowed to spend time with her. They never bonded really well though as his mother didn’t have much of a maternal streak, and he wasn’t able to get her to divulge any information about his father, although he eventually gleaned the fact that he was the result of a mating flight just after her graduation. Beyond that he didn’t know, and she died in Threadfall when he was nine turns old. Information about Q'rian's dragon Dragon Name: Kernoweth Colour: Brown Age: 12 turns Wing (Weyrling Group): Unforgettables (Adoptables Wing) Appearance: Long, lanky and lean, that’s this brown. A deep shade of brown reminiscent of dark chocolate covers most of his hide, apart from an odd pattern of much lighter spots and splodges up the back of his neck and down over both shoulders, roughly in the shape of a cross. He has broad wings which are barely lighter than the rest of him so the whole impression is of darkness. For that reason he stands out amongst other, more general brown shades. A number of scars criss-cross his tail, showing where they were caught by Thread a number of turns ago. Personality: Calm and unruffled is the feeling you get when confronted with Kernoweth. He’s sensible and not given to displays of flash flying although his build gives him a little more agility than more bulky dragons. He dotes on his rider as you’d expect, but the undercurrent to their relationship is to give His more of a feeling of security and of being needed. Also he constantly tries to bolster Q’rian’s image of himself, with some success. It was him that led Q’rian gently down the path towards wanting to be an AWLM, knowing that it would give his rider something that he needed. Weyr of Origin: Ista Abilites and weaknesses: Kernoweth has a long form which makes him more able to wiggle when flying to avoid Thread, but he occasionally forgets just how far out behind him his tail reaches.
