PalyssoName Pronounced: Pal-li-so Appearance: Delicate is not the usual adjective that comes to mind when one thinks of a Lord Holder’s son, but it happens to be a particularly apt descriptor for Palysso. Everything about, from his slender, 6’ figure to his finely boned features to his long elegant fingers seem to extrude an air of almost otherworldly fragility. A pair of dreamy hazel eyes, framed by long, almost feminine eyelashes, are set in a face otherwise defined by a straight, aristocratic nose, and high, swooping cheekbones. His skin is a pale cream, paler than that of most of his Southern kin, bespeaking a preference for indoor activities. He has a head of fine light brown hair, almost honey in color when seen under glare of the Southern sun. This he usually wears tied back in a simple ponytail - a preference that only serves to accentual the angles of his face. He dresses with almost careless simplicity, preferring simple cuts and uniform colors, and disdaining the sometimes ostentatious fineries sported by others of his rank. Personality: Palysso is, to all appearance, the perfect gentlemen, as befitting the presumptive heir to a major hold. He treats all within his acquaintance, whether a lowly kitchen staffer or a powerful Lord Holder, with the same gentle, yet distant courtesy. He has a smile for everyone, but it will be a calm polite smile, lacking in true warmth. For him, calm is not as much an emotion as it is a state of being. He will be as calm and collected in a crisis as he is during a simple walk along the beach. He rarely rises to provocation and never to anger. Some have called him gallant and kind. Others have described him as cool and remote. All but his closest acquaintances are left wondering if he is capable of feeling true passion at all. History: Palysso was born the eldest son of Lord Prental and Lady Alyssa of Arolos Hold. From the earliest years of his life, he knew that he would grow up to become Lord Holder. And from nearly as early on, he knew that there was little that he’d prefer to do less. Information about Palysso's pets Pet Name: Sir Blackie III Pet Type: Runner Appearance: Contrary to what her name might suggest, Sir Blackie III is not actually black, but a dark charcoal that might pass for black under certain types of lighting. Her mane and tail are lighter in color - a distinctive silvery gray. She bears no other distinctive markings. Personality: Sir Blackie III is high spirited, which is a polite way to say that she’s finicky, difficult to manage, and honestly a bit of a brat. She’s very particular about the people who’re allowed to handle her and is prone to play tricks and misbehave with people of whom she does not approve of. On her bad days, only Palysso could manage to ride her without getting bucked off. Some of these bad habits could have been trained out her as filly, but Palysso had picked her out to be his personal runner early on and then proceeded to spoil her outrageously. It is because of this that Blackie was never deemed suitable to race, despite her stellar speed and even more stellar pedigree. Second Pet Name: Clarion Pet Type: Bronze Firelizard Appearance: Clarion's hide is a pale, pale bronze - the palest that bronze could be and still be recognized as bronze. Such was the color of his hide that he could camouflage himself quite well by burrowing into a sandy beach. A small smattering of specks of a darker true bronze - resembling human freckles - run down his neck, down his left side, and across one wing. Personality: In many ways, Clarion resembles nothing more than an eager, energetic puppy with wings. He is inordinately eager to please and will do whatever Palysso - or anyone else - asks of him, to the best of his ability. Sometimes, he'd even try to anticipate what someone would want of him, almost always to disastrous results. Information about Palysso's dragon Dragon Name: Farelth Colour: Brown Age: 5 Wing (Weyrling Group): Miscellaneous Riders Appearance: If Farelth had been the right size, he would have been a good sturdy brown. As it is, it's hard to tell, but all things in proportion. He's a broad-chested young dragon, strong for his size and difficult to set off-balance. Personality: That steadiness also seems to apply to his temper, at least at first, for Faarelth will seem to be a difficult dragon to set off-balance.
