Character type: Dragonrider
Appearance: Olaria is a very tall young woman, just grazing six feet, and incredibly skinny. She hopes it is just a stage, and that some grace will come, but so far she is all elbows and knees, awkward and looking more like a thirteen year old, if it wasn’t for her height. Her height does give her some skill as a runner, and she prides herself on being just as fast as most boys her age.
Personality: A prickly girl, Olaria is impatient and stubborn during even the best circumstances. She prefers to do things her way and it’s difficult for her to delegate any control over her life. Also, being such an awkward girl has given her a bit of a chip on her shoulder about being female. She refuses to let boys think they’re better than her and that usually prevents her from forming any more intimate relationship than grudging friendship.
History: Born in the Healercraft Hold as the fifth child but first daughter of two healers, Olaria was practically raised by boys. Her brothers were all good at heart, though having never experienced a girl child, they were all rather rough and rambunctious and Olaria quickly became the same, desperate to keep up with them and hating when the fact that she was a girl got in the way.
Information about Olaria's dragon
Dragon Name: Smauth
Wing (Weyrling Group): Firedance
Appearance: Smauth is exceptionally large for a green dragonet, by far the largest green in her clutch and even topping most of the blues for the first couple of months until they begin to overtake her. Sporting a distinct acid green hide, she will always be a large green, muscular and bulky and tall enough to loom over her fellow greens. Size brings power, and she will be a very strong flier, one of very rare greens who will be able to last most of an entire threadfall. Unlike most greens she is not very agile, but her strength does make up for that flaw.
Personality: She is a sharp green, fond of riddles and clever snippets of conversation. She is also exceptionally vain and prone to being a braggart. She'll enjoy praise, sincere or not but is clever enough to see through any attempts to manipulate her through sweet talk. She's also not afraid to use her greater strength to her advantage, will not back down to anyone, and her rider will have to keep a firm and constant rein otherwise they might find themselves with a bully on their hands. A bully who has a keen sense for weakness and will happily push another dragon out of the way to get something she wants. Why should she hunt her own herdbeast when that smaller green has already caught one?
