LatayshaCharacter type: Healer Appearance: Lataysha is 5'6", and has a good-sized middle. Her medium brown hair is usually knotted on top of her head, allowing her to see, and not have her mass of hair in the way. When it's down, it tends to go everywhere. Her eyes are a warm honey color, which eases those she's tending to, or teaching. A rich, comforting voice adds to that. When a person looks at her, they tend to think of their mother, comforting them with warm soup when they were sick. Lataysha knows this, and uses it to coax the reluctant into accepting help. Personality: A warm, motherly type. She is friendly and comforting, and somehow makes the most horrible wounds seem minor. Also, when she's teaching, her students can always see themselves doing the things she's doing. She is a very smart, educated woman, and it shows by her knowledgeable way around the sick. She also won't stand for any interruptions when she's helping someone, she would rather throw you out of the room with her own two hands than have you speak just loudly enough to bother her patient. As for her students, they are told to be quiet, and watch, and ask questions afterward. She will throw them out even faster than a visitor. In her mind, if you aren't able to watch and learn, you aren't worth teaching. She had told you to be quiet, and you didn't listen, how can she know you will listen when it comes to saving someone's life? History: She had been helping people for as long as she could remember. Her parents were healers, so she learned her bedside manner from the best. From the age of five, she had been trying to assist her parents, and when she was finally allowed, all the patients thought she was adorable. A little thing like her already acting like a mother. She had already gotten into the habit of shooing out the loud ones, which earned a few laughs, until they saw she was serious. When she was old enough, she went to actually learn her craft. Since she had been surrounded all her life by healers and their ways, she didn't have as hard a time as some of the others, and learned quickly. She was a favorite of many healers, and she didn't take long in becoming a journeyman. Because of her motherly manner, it was decided that she would help teach some of the other apprentices, and she had no problem in doing that. As long as they followed orders and stayed quiet, watching what she did. Always watch first, ask later. That's her motto.
