K'baName Pronounced: Kee-Bah Appearance: K'ba is a young man that stands at a height of 5'10" and has a willowy build. His hair is a dark sienna brown in color that flows down to end just past his chin. Although he keeps his hair brushed close to the sides of his head his hair isn't always cooperative and the ends stick out her and there. His hair is slightly longer in the back than in the front, though not by very much. K'ba's hair has a fair amount of volume that helps to frame his angular face. Thin whispy sienna brown bangs hang over his narrow forehead of which he has a tendancy to keep swept towers the side. Pencil thin sienna brown eyesbrows slope just above his eyes, starting close and gradually thinning out further away. His eyes are perhaps his most striking feature, for they are a vivid green-grey in color that are wide-set and secretive. His nose is of medium size and straight with a narrow bridge. His lips area soft pale pink in color and the upper lip is slightly thinner than the lower lip, often pressed into a hint of a smile. His shoulders are semi-muscular and have a gentle slope to them. His arms are of medium length and he has a small silvery-white threadscore scar on his left wrist that is rather shallow. His chest is semi-musclar but trim and he has a smooth washboard-like stomach. His legs are long and lanky but can also be considered to be a bit on the gangly side. He tends to wear clothing that is ash brown in color or vetch green, though he will sometimes wear other colors. Personality: K'ba is a confident young man who is aware of his own strengths and limitations. He's not exactly arrogant but he can be a bit prideful at times and just plain stubborn when he believes he's right about something. He is a bit prone to acting without thinking things through clearly beforehand, though usually it is only a situation where he is emotionally involved. He is generally friendly and will get along with almost anyone. Perhaps it's because he was raised around so many other weyrbrats but he especially good at working with team, especially with other wingmates. He will do whatever is necessary to protect a wingmate during threadfall, even if it means the possibility of him getting injured. He's well aware of the dangers of threadfall and so he doesn't let his emotional reservations hold him back anymore like he did when he was younger. He doesn't exactly live like every day will be his last but he does do his best to try and learn new things just for the sake of doing it. He cares deeply about those he is close to and he is not afraid to show a hint of his emotions. For those he doesn't know well he can seem a bit reserved but non-judgmental. To K'ba's thinking most people are a possible friend unless they prove otherwise. History: Kiba's background is one that is rather common on most parts of Pern. He's a weyrborn child and the result of a mating flight between his mother Tayana's green Feyrasath and his father T'suim's brown Kobekoth. Born in Telgar Weyr he was soon given up to the creche as a young babe due to the fact his mother did not have the time to raise him. Tayana was a stern woman who was dedicated to her green Feyrasath more than anything else. She would visit Kiba once in a while when he was young but soon forgot about him when she gave birth to his half-sister Melenna. His father was just not at all interested in being a father and he never saw him. Not that Kiba ever lacked for anything in the creche, he was well taken care of and had a fair amount of friends among the other weyrbrats. Even as a child he showed a level headed confidence that caused other children to follow in his lead...usually into mischief to the annoyance of the creche workers. Information about K'ba's pets Pet Name: Lazulis Pet Type: Blue Wher Appearance: Lazulis is a solidly built Callamere wher at a total of 3.5 feet at the shoulder. His muzzle is broad and rather squared at the end, giving it a rather blunt appearance. Supple wrinkles are evident across the expanse of his muzzle and seem to bunch together just before his eyeridges. The muzzle is a darker shade of lazurite blue with faded streaks of cerulean blue at the base of each wrinkle. His eyeridges are suprisingly smooth and supple, rather angular in shape with a lazurite blue coloration streaked overtop with cerulean. His eyes are suprising large and faintly oval in shape with smooth faceting, whirling various colors depending on his mood. Near the back of his head are two rather stubby head knobs that are lazurite blue brightened up by speckles of sky blue. His neck is thick and stocky, corded with strong muscles needed to hold up his blocky head. His neck is a solid base of lazurite blue with a haze of cerulean blue overtop, looking rather similar to the terran aurora borealis. A row of neckridges sweep from the top of his neck down to the base of his shoulders, shaped in a triangular fashion with a thick base. Personality: Lazulis is one turn old now, purchased by his pet at the previous gather. He has a very positive attitude and tends to look on the brighter side of things, no matter what happens. He is confident in his own abilities and doesn't much have any sense of fear, at least not when it comes to his own safety. He is very calm and patient and will even allow Weyrbrats to pull on his tail, if their mothers would dare let him near them. His pet has put a lot of time into training him and he can be trusted without a lead, although he will always have a harness and a thin muzzle put on when he is let loose. Information about K'ba's dragon Dragon Name: Jekketh Colour: Brown Age: 7 Wing (Weyrling Group): None Appearance: Jekketh is a small brown that is a total of 32 feet in length, certainly on the smaller side for his color but not as small as his color can get. His muzzle is long and narrow, ending in a gently rounded tip. Smooth tan brown hues flow over his narrow muzzle, interrupted every now and then by irregular spots of sienna brown. The spots of sienna brown are roughly circular in shape with a semi-circle of sienna brown just inches apart from each spot, resembling the pattern of a terran jaguar. At the base of his muzzle the spots of sienna brown draw closer together, almost obscuring the tan brown background. His eyeridges are a uniform tan brown in color and are smooth and narrow, giving his head a more streamline appearance. His eyes are wide and almond shaped and hold a brightness to them no matter what color they have at the time. Near the back of his head are two small tawny headknobs, which end in a slightly rounded point. His neck is of medium length and sleek, with sienna brown spots on top of a vast sheet of tan brown. The spotted pattern continues all the way down his neck to stop just before the base of his shoulders. Sharp jagged neckridges rise up from the back of his neck, each neckridge a rich soil brown that is darker than any other part of his body. His shoulders are sleek and semi-muscular, mostly tan brown with a few wide spots of sienna brown overtop. These spots are wide but are placed closely together, partially obscuring the tawny brown background. His front legs are of medium length and lanky with light tawny brown hues that flow from the top of the leg down to the ankle. The tawny brown hues are interrupted in places by sienna brown spots that are slightly wider apart than those on his shoulders. His front feet are completely tawny brown in color, untouched by a single other shade. His sides and belly are both a tawny brown in color with large spots of sienna brown that are patterned close together. Jekketh's wings are long and narrow with smooth tawny browns hues sweeping across the tops of the wings. The tops of the wings are suprisingly clear of spots except for a few speckles of sienna brown along the trailing edges. The underneaths of Jekketh's wings are a solid sienna brown with faint speckles of mocha brown overtop. His hind legs are more heavily muscled than the front and are colored by medium hues of tan brown that flow all the way down to his hind feet. The talons upon his hind feet are a sienna brown in color and have a slightly serrated edge to them. His tail is of medium length and is colored by light hues of tan that flow down to encompass his tail spade. Personality: Jekketh is not that different from the wild feline he resembles in personality. He loves to hunt as much as any predator does and often chooses full grown buck herdbeasts as his prey for the challenge. He doesn't stoop on his prey like some dragons do but hunts them on the ground, pouncing upon them and ripping them apart. He walks with a grace that some dragons lack, though even he can't manage the smooth stalking movement that a feline can. He also has the insatiable curiosity of a feline and is often curious about the affairs of others even if it is none of his business. Jekketh has a much darker personality than his rider. He won't let anyone near him except for his rider and the few people he trusts who are close to his rider. Anyone else he will either rumble a warning to or just flat out ignore as if they didn't exist. Well that rule seems to apply to humans at least. Other dragons he has a bit of a different attitude towards. Jekketh primarily keeps company among greens since he admires them for their speed and cleverness. In his options golds are too proud and stuck up for his liking. Though in truth he knows he's just too small to chase a gold and wouldn't have enough endurance. Like his rider he tends to feel more alert at night...though try and wake him up before dawn and he'll wake everyone up in the vicinity with a loud bugle of protest. One trait that he and his rider share is a tendancy for being stubborn and if he believes he's right about something he won't let the subject drop until he's either told to drop it or he's made to see the other's point of voice. To many Jekketh can seem grumpy, rude, and mean. He does have a softer side though he rarely shows it. He will choose to help someone when they seem to least expect it and then make excuses as to why he did it to make it seem like he doesn't care. Like some humans he maintains a gruff exterior but can be a softie at heart. Weyr of Origin: Telgar Abilites and weaknesses: Jekketh's stubborness can be a weakness as it can lead to him misjudging something crucial. His curiosity can get him in trouble from time to time. His stength is speed and agility during threadall, though he is not quite as fast as a green but he can match the agility of a large blue.
