JoretwynName Pronounced: JOR-uh-twin Appearance: He has sable-black hair that curls nicely against the back of his neck, but becomes straighter at its runs across his scalp, his bangs coming to another bit of a curl that lightly touch against his forehead. His eyes are dark, navy blue eyes of a round, Caucasian shape. His nose is a thick, prominent structure on his face, making him appear a little more mature than he actually is. His dark pink lips are unusually soft at all times. His ears are tiny, with slight points towards the top. His voice carries a thick accent. His five-foot-nine tall frame is very toned, muscles (mostly in his upper arms and legs) are clearly defined, but his chest is not so defined. His overall torso is shapely, but muscles are barely seen. His skin is a light, Caucasian base with obvious tanning across the greater parts of his body, especially his arms and torso. A bit of body art on his upper arm: a tiny rendition of his blue fire-lizard tattooed on his bicep. His right ear is pierced twice, one in the cartilage and the other in the lobe. Personality: It's impossible to not get along with Joretwyn at all. He just radiates this great, unique sort of charisma that seems to draw people flock towards him like moths to the flame. It is possible that one day Joretwyn will make something big of himself, whether it be a bronzeriding Wingleader or the Mastersailor of Pern, Joretwyn is clearly going places and behind him, he will have a long line of people who can believe in him...people can confide their darkest secrets in him. He is also quick-witted with his thoughts, able to come up with solutions to problems that may seem impossible to solve or simply finding a more efficient way of doing something. History: Joretwyn was the fifth child of nine within a large family hailing out of Ista Seahold, born to parents Mastersailor Janahwyn and drudge Oretaia. Even as a child he seemed to take to the water like a dolphin, learning to swim as soon as he was old enough and since then he'd spent most of his free time in the waters around the Seahold. When he was old enough, he was Apprenticed to a young Journeyman Seacrafter named Tilmic. Tilmic worked as a deckhand on the Nightrunner, the very ship which was under his father Janahwyn's command. Though he had very little interaction with his father, he strove to follow in the man's footsteps and someday become a fine Seacrafter of his own. He maintained good relations with all on his ship, but on one hot Southern day at Arolos Seahold, he found himself approached by a dragonrider with a Search token. His father insisted he stay in Arolos and try for a dragon; however, Joretwyn failed to Impress and returned to the Nightrunner which headed back home. Updates: 08.11.05.12: Joretwyn is spending his time around the Seacrafthall serving Island View Hold proper and occasionally setting sail with fishing boats, biding his time between clutches. Returning to his Craft has renewed his spirits and hope of Impressing. 8.16.1.22: The Wish Chasers hatching and unfortunately also Joretwyn's last hope of becoming a dragonrider. Sadly, he fails to bond himself to one of the little dragonets and realizes he is destined for something other than life in the Weyr. He leaves the Candidate program, having outgrown it, and returns to his ship to continue his Crafting career.
