J'freiName Pronounced: Juh-frEe Appearance: J’frei stands about 6’1””, and is around 165 lbs. Tall, skinny and scrawny. He actually used to be only 150 lbs, but working out put muscle on him, which increased his weight. Which brings us to his build: he is very reluctantly in shape. He does the minimum required to ensure he can toss around sacks of firestone and make it through drills. He has short dark blond hair, and slightly bewildered blue eyes that still seem to wonder how he actually got here. Personality: J’frei is smart. He has the kind of mind that can look at something and see how it ought to be taken apart, see how you could put it back together again and maybe improve it. Which is how he would much prefer to be spending his time. Instead his time consists of what feels like endless drills, attempts to make him exercise more, and standing in front of Healers while they take what feels like endless tests. It’s not his fault that he Impressed Fuschath. As a matter of fact, he never wanted to be a dragonrider, and there is a part, deep inside him, that resents what has been done to him. After all, anyone with a few muscles and motor skills could ride a dragon. But it takes someone with a mind like his – one of the best on Pern – to achieve greatness. How will he ever achieve greatness as a dragonrider? History: Jafrei was born at Benden Weyr, and even as a small child was the sort of kid who took things apart to see how they worked. His excited parents - a teacher and a doctor - proclaimed him a genius and Sef seemed like a natural fit for the lad. He was packed off at 18 for what was clearly a great future in engineering. Information about J'frei's dragon Dragon Name: Fuschath Colour: Brown Age: 3 Wing (Weyrling Group): Wind-dance Fury Appearance: Fuschath was destined to be one of the largest dragons of the Clutch. And he still could be – if it weren’t for the problems he and J’frei have with reconciling their differences. Instead of being the large, robust brown he should be, he’s almost as scrawny as J’frei. Nerves will do that to a human, and will do that to a dragon. Personality: He’s quiet. He wants his rider to be happy, and feels that if he stays in the background, J’frei will be happier. Out of mind, out of mind, right? Being so young, he hasn’t had the opportunity yet to chase a green – or a gold. Because of the issues the two have, he is maturing very slowly. It is possible he may never attempt to rise – after all, this would take away from J’frei’s work. It will take a lot of work to pull Fuschath out of his shell.
