IndaliName Pronounced: ehn-DAH-lee Appearance: Large built and plump, Indali at first looks like a jolly wet nurse that couldn’t keep up with the children. However, despite her looks, she’s quite fit and able to fulfill the candidate requirements just fine. Her auburn hair is usually kept back in a tight braided bun with her bangs rolled back in a fringe. While under her clothes, Indali does look fat, it’s just a mask for the muscles she’s built up running about the Weyr and twisting herself into odd positions to get the Weyr spic and span. Her clothing of choice is modest, dresses always down to her ankles, sleeves either to her wrist or at least past her elbow, collar to her neck with no collarbone showing. Any blouse that she wears MUST be fully able to button over her bosom without a single sign of a gap. Shorts must go past her knee and pants must go all the way down to her ankle. Indali’s preferred shoe is a lace-up boot that goes over her ankles. Personality: Calm and fairly complacent, Indali has never been one to stir up trouble. If anything, she’s found that she can sometimes quell it, especially if it’s among children. Her overall nature is that of servitude from growing up a worker, almost a staffer, and it’s really something that she’s carried over into being a rider. Indali views dragonriding as a sort of servitude to the people of Pern and thus is delighted to do it now that she’s got Tanivith. They will be fighting Thread so that the regular person can live and Indali doesn’t see anything wrong with that, nor does she believe that she should receive special deference to the average Pernese. History: Born in Arolos Weyr on 5.17, Indali lived a normal life as a Lower Caverns child. She did well in her classes, nothing fantastic, but good enough to pass. She didn’t have an interest in any particular craft since all she did was help her parents work around the Weyr, tidying up here and there and making sure beds were made and latrines clean. Perhaps for that reason, when she enlisted as a Candidate (which she felt was expected of her but had no particular disdain for), she chose crechework as her craft. Six long years she Stood for clutch after clutch with nothing to gain from it. In the meantime, she kept helping at the creche as often as she could when she wasn’t doing chores. Information about Indali's dragon Dragon Name: Tanivith Colour: Green Age: 0 Wing (Weyrling Group): Forgotten of Foreth (Off-Screen Hatching) Appearance: Tanivith hatched out of an egg that looked faded, dried out, and cracked, and her physiology seemed to echo that appearance. She’s scrawny, oh so small, and no matter how much she eats she will always look starved to the point of death. Sure, when she’s a hatchling she had that adorable baby chub that made her look round and healthy, but when she really starts to grow she’ll develop her undernourished look that will have the dragonhealers worried for the rest of her life. Her muzzle will be long and narrow with her upper fangs all showing and her chin is especially pointed.Tanivith’s hide is a pale greenish-grey that only adds to the sickly appearance and her wings are dramatically undersized. There will be worry at first as to whether she can even carry her rider, but rest assured that she can. Personality: Rough and tumble, if there’s a tussle in the Weyrling barracks then you know Tanivith is there. Her rider will have to work very hard to train her out of that, but it will be surprisingly easy to do since she listens to orders without question, as long as they come from someone she recognizes as authority. Her rider, AWLMs, and her Wingleader will all have her immediate respect as will of course the Weyrleaders, but just because any old bronze asks Tanivith to do something, that doesn’t mean that she’ll do it. In Threadfall, she’s quick and fierce, more eager to destroy her enemy than she is to preserve her own hide. She’ll gather many Threadscores from this trait. Weyr of Origin: Arolos Abilites and weaknesses: Tanivith is fast as can be once in the air and has an uncanny ability to perfectly position herself coming out of *between*. If Timing It was a commonly known and practiced ability, she would be able to know just when she was, but it isn’t. That said, she has almost no stamina and can barely last two candlemarks in Threadfall. On top of that, her diminutive size makes her not only easy to miss among other, larger dragons, but she’s also rather prone to being stepped on as well.
