FezzalCharacter type: SeaCrafter Appearance: Fezzal is 5'10" tall, and slender. He has violet-blue eyes and light brown hair. His harper-trained voice has settled into the baritone range. His face is thoughtful in repose, but a certain smile means mischief is afoot. Personality: Thanks to almost 5 years at the Harper Hall, Fezzal carries himself confidently and speaks with a cultured accent. Though he tells everyone he left the Harper Hall because he really wanted to be a seacrafter --- which is true --- his liking for practical jokes also played a part in his dismissal. Being forced to spend all his free time for a month re-copying a Record that had been ruined by having ink spilled all over it has made him a little more sensible. He's very good at keeping a straight face when he or someone else is pulling a prank. He doesn't want anyone to know he's a prankster (though Master Zeylan probably knows). He's still looking for the ultimate prank, the Holy Grail of practical jokes. History: Fezzal grew up at Dollanol Hold. As a child, he enjoyed sailing in his father's boat and always expected to be a seacrafter. But when he was 9, Master Jeffern heard him singing at a Gather and persuaded his parents to let him go to the Arolos Harper Hall as a boy soprano. At first he was fostered by Danteca, Journeyman Alexin's wife, finally apprenticing when he turned 12. He enjoyed the singing and the attention it brought him, but did only moderately well at the other lessons. He also developed a penchant for practical jokes that all-too-often misfired: for example, there was the crawler-in-the-inkwell trick that startled another apprentice so badly that she spilled the ink all over an ancient record-skin.
