F'loName Pronounced: FLOW Appearance: Willowy, slender, effeminate, all accurate words to describe the slip of a girly-boy that slipped out of Arolos’ lower caverns on his twelfth Nameday to apply to be a candidate. The soft chocolate hair that falls over his hazel eyes gives him a bit of a shy appearance that isn’t too far off the mark at all. His shorter stature, soft doe eyes, and soft skin give him the look of one to either be dominated or protected depending on the outlook of the observer. He likes to dress in baggier clothes that leave some of him to the imagination. Never mind that that adds ambiguity to his gender since no one can tell if he’s flat-chested or not. F'lo’s voice doesn’t help with its soft mewl and quiet suggestions. Personality: F'lo was always a quiet boy, sticking to the shadows and not saying much. He would always be the one in the class that would rather play with a stray kitten than interact with a person. As he got older, though, and with much encouragement from his parents, he steadily grew more social. F'lo preferred the company of girls to boys as he found the latter to be downright terrifying in many ways, especially after puberty hit. He never had an attraction to girls sexually but developed great friendships with them. He was an ear to their troubles and secrets as well as a shoulder to cry on when they needed it. It was through them that he learned of his attraction to boys and that not all boys were big, scary brutes that would beat his ass for being a sissy. He learned through his girl friends that some boys even liked other boys. That relationship type was usually more accepted among dragonriders, though F'lo scoffed quietly at the idea of becoming a rider just for that. History: Born quietly as Foylo amidst the bustle of the Arolosian Lower Caverns, F'lo never aspired to much beyond the steady work his parents did. He wasn’t an only child, hardly, but he was neither the eldest nor the youngest and so thus went largely unnoticed. He was adequate at his studies in history and the arts, though he truly excelled in number figuring. Disliking boasting, F'lo kept that fact to himself. His teachers took note of it, though, but at his quiet request didn’t bring it to light. F'lo wanted to live a quiet life as a caverns worker and was quite happy with the prospect. That was, of course, until the Thread tornado. He was as sickened as the rest of the Weyr and mourned the losses his people suffered. His family had no riders in it and thus hadn’t lost anything of their own but, as everyone knew, in the Weyr, riders were everyone’s priority. Information about F'lo's pets Pet Name: Gemma Pet Type: Green Firelizard Appearance: A small and dainty green, Gemma is a lovely emerald color from nose to tail with no deviation. Everything about her is small but her body is also in lovely proportion. F'lo keeps her oiled out of devotion and previously out of a silent desire to have a green just like her one day. Personality: Calm and dainty, Gemma is fairly relaxed unless there is something to do and a blue around to do it. She adores making blue firelizards do her work and fetch her food, though she’s not really lazy. Gemma knows she doesn’t have the commanding power of a gold, but knows that blues will listen, and takes it upon herself to give them jobs to do. Information about F'lo's dragon Dragon Name: Kiloth Colour: Brown Age: 0 Wing (Weyrling Group): Forgotten of Foreth (Off-Screen Hatching) Appearance: Looking at Kiloth the first thing you think is sleek. And this brown is just that. His hide gleams rather like his mother's does, but he lacks her metallic hue. Instead his brown hide looks rather like smoothed, organic wood. Bystanders may struggle to describe him, because Kiloth is quite appealing to look at, with all his smooth, flowing lines. There is nothing rough or unpolished about him in appearance and his hide reflects that. The only way to describe his shade of brown however would have to be…cool. It’s not a warm mahogany shade, nor that rich redwood. No his is that much subtler shade, the expensive, well-blended wood. Personality: If there is one thing Kiloth absolutely /LOATHES/ it’s being disregarded, and quite frankly, he thinks it happens far too often. No, he isn’t one of those big, pushy, idiotic bronzes with their delusions of grandeur, and he claims he totally doesn’t want to be. What he wants is recognition, pure and simple, the recognition of his intelligence and use as a dragon far superior to those…base metal creatures. He sees no reason why they should be favored above him, he’s smarter, faster and can probably fly circles around those idiots, so why are they automatically the leaders? It perplexes and infuriates him, and his rider will have difficulty explaining the concept of color hierarchy to him. Weyr of Origin: Arolos Abilites and weaknesses: Kiloth is crafty and cunning, but doesn’t take criticism well at all. His sleek frame makes him take a hit to his stamina which impacts his ‘Fall performance. He hates being the first brown to duck out of a ‘Fall so F’lo will have to work hard to make sure his brown isn’t pushing himself beyond his limits.
