Appearance: When you look at Canimea, it is immediately obvious where Ricani got her looks from. Ricani looks almost exactly like her mother, only younger of course. Canimea has those same big green eyes, dark hair and abundance of freckles. The woman is most certainly curvy, though the kitchen work is slowly expanding her waist and thighs into a more plump figure.

Canimea always wears decent dresses, she has her own reasons for not revealing too much skin. She keeps her hair pinned up almost all the time, but always keeps it neatly combed. Some premature streaks of grey are already beginning to touch her temples, as well as there are already some deeper lines on her face.

All in all she’s a decent, but pleasant woman to look at, though it is obvious she used to look a whole lot better.

Personality: Canimea is a warm cheerful and loving figure. She always has a kind word and consolation for those who need it. She’s one of those people that can seem to fix everything with a warm hug and some whispered encouragements.

She is a big push-over though and finds it incredible hard to say no. This has gotten her into a lot of trouble in the past, but with help of Riak she is slowly learning that there are times where you have to stand up for yourself.

She loves her family to bits and will do anything to keep them sound and safe. Her family is all that really matters to her.

History: Canimea was born to a young couple of drudges at Fort Weyr. Her childhood was pretty unremarkable, or at least as unremarkable as any young girl’s life at Fort Weyr could be. Growing up in the crèche, she never had a whole lot of ambition other then to meet a wonderful guy and have babies. The dream of any proper Fort girl.

She grew out to be a lovely young lady and one day she drew the attention of brownrider M’caus, which certainly wasn’t a good thing. She was so terrified of him she was unable to resist him and he liked her enough to keep her on. She grew increasingly afraid and that was also what bound her to him. She couldn’t escape, she was too afraid he would find her and hurt her. Finally, she could take no more and fled from the Weyr with her close friend Riak.

They took a boat to the South and Riak married her not soon after. Some months after they settled into Forest Edge hold, Ricani was born (Prepass.-1.1.24). Both Canimea and Riak loved her immensely and they were finally able to put the less pleasant things of their past behind them. They became reliable and respected workers at the Hold. Of course Canimea had some doubts when her only child was searched, but as she always wanted the best for her daughter, she supported her all the way.

Now rumours are starting to filter through from the Weyr, rumours that told all ex-Forters to be on their guard!
