CalyseName Pronounced: kah-lees Appearance: Calyse is a pretty girl despite the occasional nervous tick, pale-skinned like other northerners with bright blue eyes. Straight blonde hair the color of flax is a gift from her mother, and she wears it down without much thought given to style. After an encounter with D'vik's flit Fabio that saw a large length of her hair accidentally burned away, she was forced to chop the blonde locks to just above shoulder-length - much to her chagrin. Of average height at 5'4" and slightly built, she's blessed with an ample bosom and narrow waist that she disguises beneath loose, often just-oversized clothing. She might really be something to look at if she put any effort into her appearance, but attracting attention doesn't seem to be her aim. Though comfort and practicality are favored over embellishment, Calyse is always neat and orderly, never hair out of place - or at least, not for long. Personality: Quiet and guarded, Calyse tends to keep to herself unless given reason to do otherwise. Beneath a tepid, unremarkable surface lies a fierce competitive streak and temper that only rears its head when pressed. Her need to correct others when they're "wrong" has lead to a know-it-all reputation that follows her everywhere. She loves to learn and it shows in her studies, in the way she dedicates herself to a subject, in her ability to recall details. How she wields that knowledge, however, hasn't earned her many friends. History: Calyse began life as a weyrbrat in Benden, the daughter of greenrider Calya and wingleader S'lon. Hers was a difficult adolescence as she struggled to fit in with others and find friends, her quirky behavior and know-it-all attitude driving most away. Though given to the creche to care for, her mother had high hopes for their relationship. Young Calyse proved stubborn and bull-headed, and believes to this day that her mother grew to resent her over time for failing to live up to expectations. Calyse did what she could to satisfy her parents, but she was repelled by the wild examples they set. It wasn't a recipe for the best relationship. Information about Calyse's dragon Dragon Name: Andorath Colour: Gold Age: 0 Wing (Weyrling Group): Night Glory Appearance: Egg - The Gilded Cage Egg: Foreth has done it again! Sitting proudly along with the other golden sister is the Gilded Cage Egg. Despite the darker sheen, there's no doubt that there's a gold hatchling just waiting to announce herself into the world. In the meantime she's locked up in a double cage surrounding her egg. On the inside are brighter sheened ovalish links running vertically across the egg and wrapped around the gold of the egg underneath. On top of all those links are thinner, duller bars running vertically. A thicker band runs horizontally across the top. On one side there is a similar shaded circle with a small hole in the middle as if with the right key a daring female Candidate good try to open it on her own. Personality: Don't mistake, underneath all that femininity is its own muscle, power, and danger. Feminine and beautiful doesn't mean weak or complacent; far from it. Andorath has has a brain and she knows when to put it on display, and when to use that beauty to bedazzle instead. Though she has a fondness for gifts, they will often have drawbacks when given. An insatiable curiosity for the unknown coupled with a mischievous nature mean the number of pranks played in the Weyr is likely to go up.
