BarodaName Pronounced: Bar-OH-da Appearance: Baroda has blue eyes and waist-length dark-blonde hair. She's 5'8", and has lost her puppy-fat in her turns at the Seacrafters' Hall and then working as assistant headwoman at Island View Hold. Her face is quite pretty in repose, but develops a malevolent air when she's plotting against her perceived enemies. She loves pretty clothes, and always hated the work-clothes she had to wear as an apprentice, but now sees the point of wearing plain (if nicely fitted) clothes while working. Personality: When first apprenticed, she was selfish, devious and vindictive. Sadly, her family members had always dealt with her character flaws by passing her on to somebody else. They'd get this pretty little girl handed to them, give her everything she wanted, and it was never enough. She seemed to have no feeling of gratitude or affection, and she was rude to the drudges. History: Baroda is the only daughter of a younger sister of Barkeli, the holder of Island View Hold. Her mother Bakelia married Rodan, a holder in Igen, who died when Baroda was only 2. Bakelia stayed with Rodan's family until she married another holder named Ernastor, with whom she had 2 sons. Information about Baroda's pets Pet Name: Nori Pet Type: Flit Appearance: Nori is a pretty, darkish-blue flit. He hatched from a wild gold's clutch in spring of the 13th turn, and is fairly large for his age and colour. Personality: Nori's personality is not much like Baroda's, though they seem well suited. His first memory was of being trapped under a load of seaweed, part of the food the bronzes brought for the hatchlings, and of being rescued by Baroda. His love for her knows no bounds, and she adores him in return, though she originally wanted only a bronze or gold. His main characteristic is a sense of humour, mainly indulged when Baroda is tormenting Fezzal for a devious prank. Unlike her, he's not at all malevolent. He just senses and shares in her amusement.
