B'ronCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: B'ron stands about 6'2 with a thin, lanky frame. He is leanly muscled, with only the barest hint of a tan. He has a thin face with patrician features. His eyes are a wide, innocent looking blue set under softly arched eyebrows of dark gold. His nose is straight and romanesque, while his mouth is soft and boyish. The barest hint of dimples appear when he smiles. His hair is a thick tumble of wheat-blond that he rarely remembers to cut. Being in the sun has streaked it through with a lighter blond, adding to his juvenille look. Personality: B'ron is a man with a great love of wine, and not just the drinking of it, either. The making of wine is his passion in life, outside of his beloved Muenth. As a boy, he had no other ambitions toward becoming a rider. The other boys in his hold spoke of naught else but the great, winged beasts, but B'ron spoke of grapes and presses. He had watched a work in progress, and become fascinated. He completely devoted his early years toward becoming a master winecrafter, even before he was old enough to become a real apprentice. He learned all his harper lessons, just so he could read and write the processes; the ingredients. His single-mindedness about it was extremely surprising in a child his age, but it was a trait he never really grew out of. Because of it, though, B'ron didn't have much of a childhood. His sense of humor is somewhat under-developed and he tends to be serious. People who slack in their work or try to shift blame to others really irk him History: B'ron, born Beiron, second child of Beily and Nalron, was a natural born Southerner, though he spent the main part of his life North-bound. His family moved South when he was young, and even at that tender age he showed a fascination for a craft neither of his parents were to pleased with. So they sent him back north to an uncle there were sure would straighten him out right quick in a hurry. Instead the old man apprenticed him off as quick as he could. Even if the boy didn't cause any actual trouble, it was rather hard having light-of-loves about with a kid hanging around his quarters. So Beiron was living the high-life. Or, he was until he was "requested" to apprentice under a Master at the Weyr. The man did nothing, in his opinion, but he followed the will of his masters. Caltin certainly wasn't much of a master. He did everything possible to hold Beiron back, having heard of the jealousy held for the boy back before he came to him. And despite Caltin's best attempts to "ruin" a good apprentice, Beiron was determined to be the best. Even reaching eighteen, nineteen, twenty without becoming a journeyman didn't halt his determination. I just made him a bit resentful. And a bit more open with his anger, at times. It was during one of his "seething sessions" that a young harper/candidate by the name of Rhrin stumbled across him. The girl somehow managed to wrangle information out of him, and then spent nigh unto two hours soothing his anger. When she left him, he felt a new sense of determination (and later guilt, after he found out the trouble Rhrin had gotten into for missing her lessons). So, when a mere fornight later he had a rider approach him, speaking over the upcoming hatching, and how he might be suitable, he {is somewhat reluctantly} joined the ranks of candidate. He didn't expect to impress, and intended to stand just once, if even that. He was just there to try to keep Rhrin from getting in more trouble over him. But when the hatching cry sounded, he almost didn't go. If there hadn't been a candidate master by his side the entire time, he never would have made it to the sands. It was actually his first hatching, so he was so fascinated by the awkward dragonets he completely missed seeing his friend impress. In fact, his total attention was soon trained upon a small brown, the only unimpressed dragon, surrounded by a ring of hopeful boys, though he himself hung back. He really hadn't meant to become a dragonrider. So he watched in wide eyed horror as the keening hatchling plowed through those not quick enough, searching for his lifemate. But when the high, frightened voice started chattering away in his head, he wasn't completely surprised. Little Muenth imperiously informed his to get down there and take care of him, because he was _hungry_. And when B'ron lept to the sands and scooped up the dragonet, he heard nothing of the shocked cries from the watching crowd. Information about B'ron's pets Pet Name: Tell Pet Type: Bronze Firelizard Appearance: Tell is a fine example of a callamere bronze. He falls in the middle of the size range, with his hide being a light, supple bronze with a slightly darker brindling down his neck and back. Personality: Closely connected with B'ron and Muenth, is it any surprise that Tell is a rankist? He knows he's bronze, and knows that puts him at the top of the pecking order, save for golds. He has a distaste for flying green, and will be lazy about rising to chase. He chooses to give attention only to those his big pet has approved of. If B'ron doesn't talk to them, likely Tell won't go near. Information about B'ron's dragon Dragon Name: Muenth Colour: Brown Age: 9 Wing (Weyrling Group): Unforgettables (Adoptables Wing) Appearance: Muenth is a large, lithe dragon. His hide is a honeyed brown colour that is vaguely reminiscent of B'ron's hair, and his build has the same "I haven't reached full growth" look to it. His wing span is huge though, making one somehow think he would be clumsy. Muenth, though, is quite the opposite. He moves with the grace of a feline. Personality: Muenth has a slightly imperious attitude, that may well have been suited more to a bronze. Level-headed he is, but he has no problem with issuing orders. He's also rather headstrong, and single-minded. This, he's picked up from B'ron. However, while B'ron knows how to use tact, Muenth is more apt to speak his mind in the way his mind first says something. Meaning, what he says can sometimes be a bit embarrassing. Which wouldn't be so bad, if Muenth didn't have the strange habit of _talking_ to people. It's something B'ron can't understand. Weyr of Origin: Telgar Abilites and weaknesses: Muenth lacks tact when dealing with others, and he's rather single-minded.
