AziaName Pronounced: A-zee-a Appearance: Azia is not a classic beauty. Nor is she plain, and while she may not turn every head, those who do tend to look twice. Azia’s beauty is that of her near-desert homeland. She is slender but muscular, a little short, tending to a narrow-at-the-hips, athletic build not traditional curves. Her bust is neat but small. Her skin is swarthy, leaving her bronze even in winter, and her black hair thick and heavy. Personality: Azia appears haughty, proud and disdainful. Anyone who gets close quickly learns it is less the aura of an ice-queen then that of the formidable teaching harper you had that used to scare your pants off. Azia is aloof in the way of the matriarch, keeping cool distance not deliberate disdain. History: Aztora was a skilled healer, but a lousy household manager, disorganised outside of her craft, easily flummoxed and endearingly incompetent. From a very young age, Azia was left with household responsibilities. It is probably at least part of the reason for how she turned out. But it was watching her parents that honed her appreciation for polite behavior. Information about Azia's dragon Dragon Name: Eranath Colour: Green Age: 13 Wing (Weyrling Group): Firedance Appearance: Eranath is a gaunt dragon despite being well cared for. She carries no spare fat and an apparent minimum of muscle tone. In fact, she is not all that attractive in brutal honesty. Her face seems slightly down turned, giving her an air of sadness not borne out at all by any actual event. Her green is an odd, stuck-between two shades tone that seems deep moss green at times and at others wanders towards an almost milk-gone-terribly-sour greenish white. She shades paler on her belly and flanks then her limbs and spine. Personality: Eranath is a natural born peacemaker. She wants nothing more then for Pern to live in harmony. Called on to fight thread, she will persue it with all her might- but with no hatred. She hates nothing, feeling sad for some things and simply ignoring others that irritate her. Azia is forced to keep a very tight rein on her martyr complex, which does sometimes cause strife between them, but it is a wedge Eranath rushes to heal when it happens. All in all, she can be an irritating dragon to get on with, mournful and rather annoying, but her rider’s influence helps a lot. She has mellowed considerably, and these days makes for a much better companion- in the main achieved by Azia channelling her do-goodish ness in specific directions rather then allowing her to mull on life in general. Like her rider, Eranath loves water and adores being bathed. Given her nature, random unpredicted death- untangible, unreasonable with, untouchable- leaves a deeper psyche on the scar of the green then her rider, and despite her green nature, the many, many deaths of comrades and the memory of keening will never quite be erased. Weyr of Origin: Igen Abilites and weaknesses: If it wasn’t for the rider she would take with, Eranath would be the sort who would sacrifice herself to save another, and several times has managed a passable attempt at doing so by undertaking a misjudged manoeuvre to assist someone else. She is, however, a quick and effective fighter, and very efficient. Her memory is far better then most greens, but her stamina limited.
