Tr'fanCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: Tr'fan is a mountain. Literally. He's got huge muscles and he stands at a good 6'2". His hair has gone a prematurely grey colour - the colour of rocks on a mountainside. His skin is tanned, but weathered; a very natural look and colour that merely enhances the whole 'mountain' feel of the man. There is a nasty threadscore that has obliterated his left eye and looks like it was very close to doing the same to his right, which is a deep grey colour that seems to hold more depth than you would expect from a man of his years. Add in the clothing - all in nice earthy browns and pine greens - and Tr'fan really does look like part of the landscape. Personality: Despite his looks Tr'fan is not a serious guy, he's always got a ready smile on his face and will talk easily with anyone he comes across. History: Trealfan, shortened to Tr'fan when he became a dragonrider, was born in a cothold in Fort territory, and searched when he was barely 13 turns old. Of course he went off to the Weyr like any dragon-struck young boy would. Two turns later, Trealfan had failed to impress so the CandidateMaster shipped him off to Telgar. Brown Duntoth found him the first time he stood. Weyrlinghood kept him busy and that was when he started to lose touch with his family -- the father he admired and the brother he loved. Weyrling training was taking up all his time and they just lost touch. Tr'fan only ever saw his nephews a couple of times... and then six or so turns back his brother took the family south to Arolos, and with Tr'fan still at Telgar he lost touch completely. Information about Tr'fan's pets Pet Name: Rollie (pronounced raw-lee) Pet Type: Brown Firelizard Appearance: A smooth combination of bistre and sepia make this one of the darkest browns ever seen. Under the light of the sun, one can make out a rippling pattern on his hide as if a dark silken cloth covers him hiding another color beneath. He will be just as impressive as most bronzes with his angular head, lean muscles, and sweeping wings even if he is the size of a normal brown. Personality: This brown is motivated entirely by his love of his pet, going to great lengths to please them, even as far as to learn just about anything that could possibly prove useful to his pet later on. He will be well behaved even as a hatchling even timid at times, but will become more confident as he grows in his know of what his pet wants. No obstacle seems too great for this brown, and if his pet is ever in danger, he will gladly sacrifice his own life for them. Information about Tr'fan's dragon Dragon Name: Duntoth Colour: Brown Age: 26 Wing (Weyrling Group): Wind-dance Fury Appearance: Duntoth is an unusual brown, not patchwork so much as a subtle swirling of colours. There's a deep oaken brown there, the lighter colour of beech, earth soil-like tones.... in short Duntoth shows every colour you would find in the wood-lands. Not that it looks odd on him, far from it, Duntoth simply looks as much a part of the landscape as his rider does. He's also as large as his rider is, but his colouring makes that less apparant unless you are actualy standing next to him or looking at him standing next to another dragon. Personality: Duntoth is a quiet fellow, never says very much or makes a loud noise. He's simply *there* as implaceable as the mountains. He's got the tenacity of the mountains too, and the stamina of one as well. Put simply, Duntoth gets the job done and doesn't boast about it. He doesn't want to change the world, he merely gets by - and supports his beloved rider all the way. New challenges have come into his life with the addition of Jazzie's new little green firelizard Kielley. A green firelizard who reminds Duntoth of a green dragon in disguise in a very tiny package. Weyr of Origin: Telgar Abilites and weaknesses: Duntoth has stamina unbounded.... but he's also got all the agility of a rock. His threadfighting experience has given him flying experience and skills that make up for the agility.
