TellefCharacter type: Other Appearance: Tellef is about 5'7" tall and slenderly built, but with strong arms and large hands. He has brown eyes and shoulder length blond hair, a broad forehead and chin, and a narrow nose. He usually wears a white baggy shirt, beige trousers and black boots and has one ear pierced which has a large hoop earring in it. He's not the sort of man you'd take one look at and fall for, he's very plain looking although the tightness of his trousers at least show off his muscular legs. Personality: A fairly fastidious man, Tellef never liked getting covered in dust or dung at his family's cothold. He was constantly fidgeting as a child and would climb trees to avoid chores, especially mucking out beasts. He's pleasant to most people when you meet him but he's very easily affected by other people's opinions. He dislikes laziness in women and is lascivious and chauvinistic, expecting to be waited on during the few occasions that he returns to his family's cothold. He's a hard worker onboard ship and you won't find him slacking even if he's asked to go up the mast, although he's not good with heights. He's fond of his cousins, who all live with his parents, but used to tease Ellie that the only dragon that would ever be hers would have to be imaginary to put up with her moods. History: Tellef learned to swim and fish at an early age. Completely underwhelmed at the thought of following in his parents' farming footsteps, Tellef decided to go to sea at 15. Finding his sea legs quickly he was able to turn his hand to most things, although hoisting sail is something he's extremely good at. He did a stint on a fishing vessel for two turns but tired of being covered in fish oil and guts - it did nothing for his reputation as being fastidious - so he took a post on a trading ship. This is much more to his liking and he has started to acquire a good sense of what will sell well on each continent. Over a turn ago he took a general post on the Serene which does regular runs between the north and south continents and he gets on well with the captain. He has a casual male partner in the North and a on/off relationship with a female partner in the South. His cousin Ellie is a candidate at the Weyr and he would bed her too given half a chance.
