T'rovName Pronounced: "tor-rov" Appearance: T'rov stands at a fairly good height of 5'8" and although he's not the tallest guy out there he certainly can't be considered short either. His skin is a light peach in color that contrasts sharply with the color of his eyes. He has short, wavy, mocha brown hair that he likes to keep combed so that it is swept back. His hair isn't always co-operative though and there is usually stray strands sticking out here and there. Short wavy mocha brown bangs hang down over his forehead, giving his face a more rounded look. His bright azure blue eyes stare out from beneath two thin mocha brown eyebrows. His eyes are very vibrant and have a lot of spirit to them and they seem to be very open and honest. His nose is of medium size and has little distinguishing features other than that the bridge of his nose seems a little wide. Pale pink lips of medium thickness are usually drawn upwards in a smile since he's a generally cheerful guy. His shoulders are angular and his arms are slightly muscular, although the muscle is compact enough that he would have to flex his arms to make it noticeable. His fingers are slightly calloused from work and between his thumb and index finger on his right hand are two small scars, which were puncture wounds at one time when he was bitten by a tunnelsnake. His chest is slightly muscular but very compact and free of any kind of scars of blemishes. He has a smooth washboard stomach that has a slight bulge to it, though he certainly can't be considered fat. His legs are of medium length and are rather lanky and he has a splotchy tan birthmark on the upper side of his right leg. T'rov seems to like wearing blue or brown clothing, though it isn't uncommon to see him wearing red. Personality: T'rov is a hard-working rider but he can't help but gripe about it once in a while. He's also very stubborn and once he has his mind made up on something, very little can change it. He loves woodcrafting and he's excellent at making good quality chairs, tables, desks and other similar items. He likes to put intricate detail into carving pictures or patterns to them as well, making them worth a bit more. Of course when you have a dragon, being a woodcrafter is much easier. He simply has Tavrolth break down some trees for him. He doesn't like hard work that much but he knows it is necessary, especially because of his craft. He is a bit of a ladies man and likes to flirt from time and he often encourages his dragon to chase greens. He has very little emotional baggage to speak of and that tends to make him very confident, even bold at times. He can be serious at times but generally, he is very outgoing and talkative, which means he has it fairly good when it comes to making friends. History: Torov was born into a fairly large family at Ista Hold. His mother Sasisa was a Journeyman Weaver, while his father Taliros was a Journeyman Woodcrafter. He had three brothers and two sisters. His sister Shilana was four turns older than him, while his sister Tashra was two turns younger than him. His brother Kilro was six turns older than him and his other brother Sizioko was a full eight turns older than him. His brother Xalen was the youngest one of them all and was four turns younger than him. Living in a fairly large family was something that Torov didn't find easy. His sisters he found annoying and his brothers were even more so. He especially didn't get along with Kilro and the two were constantly bickering over one thing or another. They had one of the best furnished cotholds in the hold though, since his father was skilled in making furniture. Even if the cothold lacked in silence it certainly didn't lack in comfort. Torov was about 10 turns when he really started to take an interest in what his father was doing. He watched his father carefully carve designs into the wood of tables and chairs he had made, and even how his father made those out of large felled trees. His father noticed his interest and would sometimes explain to Torov what he was doing. By the time he was 12 turns old he knew that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father. He informed Talros of his desire and his father was pleased to hear it. Information about T'rov's dragon Dragon Name: Tavrolth Colour: Brown Age: 7 Wing (Weyrling Group): Wind-dance Fury Appearance: Dark hues of oak brown sweep over the muzzle of this large brown dragon to encompass his broad wedge-shaped head in complete darkness. His muzzle is rather broad and gently sloping and at the very end are two large nostrils, which allow him to catch a variety of scents. On the top of his muzzle is a misty band of coco brown speckles that fade into an oak brown background. His dark oak brown eyeridges are large and well-rounded, helping to make his head look a bit bigger than it actually is. Beneath his eyeridges are two brightly whirling eyes that reflect his moods by the color that they are. Near the back of his head are two large head knobs that are a light coco brown in color. The head knobs are quite pronounced and noticeable, a fact that seems to bother him. His neck is of medium length and is a solid sheen of oak brown untouched by a single other color. His neckridges are large and slightly triangular in shape, though they do seem to be rather narrow. They are a dark shade of oak brown in color with wispy streaks of coco brown, causing them to contrast quite a bit. His well muscled shoulders are a medium oak brown in color with large splotches of coco brown overtop. His front legs are of medium length and lanky and are mostly a dark oak brown in color; though there are stripes of coco brown that wrap around the ankles right above his feet. Both of his front feet sport a set of razor sharp oak brown talons that have a slightly jagged edge to them. His belly is a very light sandy brown in color that has a fair bulge to it, making him a bit on the pudgy side. His sides are mainly a dark oak brown in color but he has large stripes of coco brown overtop with small speckles of sandy brown in between the stripes. His wings are swept back slightly giving him a more aerodynamic figure and his wings are broad and powerful, so he is seemingly built for endurance. The tops of his wings are a solid sheen of oak brown in color with coco brown speckles running along the wingsails. The bottoms of his wings are drab in comparison, being a solid sheen of coco brown in color. His hind legs are a bit more heavily muscled than the front and they are a solid sheen of oak brown in color. Two bands of coco brown encircle the lower part of each back leg just above the ankles. His hind feet each sport a set of deadly oak brown talons, which are slightly longer than those of his front feet. Last but not least is his long solid tail which is a light brown in color, with single stripe of coco brown encircling the end of his tail just in front of his tail spade. At the base of his tail is a long silvery-white threadscore scar that is about six inches in length. Personality: Tavrolth is a very attentive dragon that appreciates the little things in life. A pat on the muzzle in thanks, a scratching on an eyeridge, and other small gestures like that. Anyone who does something nice for someone else will sometimes be rewarded by being spoken to by Tavrolth. He doesn't talk to others unless he feels they deserve it. Of course he is freely talkative with other dragons and he outright flirts with greens. He helps his rider out with his craft by taking down trees, usually by throwing his weight into them until they give way. He worries a lot about his rider since he sleepwalks, and as a result Tavrolth is a very light sleeper. Like many other dragons he likes to sun himself, and he'll often sprawl out on his ledge or on the beach of the lake to do so. He has an odd habit of eating that is disturbing to some. After watching a green blood her kill he decided to try it and he found he liked it. So he usually sucks all the blood out of his kills first before he eats the meat. He hates having such large headknobs that seem to stand it. On the up side he has an excellent sense of hearing and that leads to him overhearing conversations. Thankfully he's not a dragon that likes to start rumors. He practices to improve the areas he is weaker in, such as maneuverability. He'll never move as fast as a blue or a green but at least he can turn slightly faster than most browns his size and he can do a barrel roll. He has a slightly quirky sense of humor and he can /laugh/. Of course it sounds a lot like a barking seal and it often draws some looks his way when he does it. Weyr of Origin: Ista Abilites and weaknesses: His maneuverability is a bit better than most browns his size, though he is far more geared for endurance. Since he is just slightly smaller than a small bronze he can last an entire fall and only be slightly winded by the end of it. He has very good hearing for a dragon and can pick up conversations from quite a distance. Tavrolth is a very light sleeper and the slightest noise can wake him up, which can be a problem sometimes.
