Name Pronounced: Tuh-GAT
Appearance: Birthdate: 13th day of the 2nd month
Personality: T'gat is a steady, even-tempered sort. He is slow to anger and quick to calm down from anger, but he is also slow to forgive and reluctant to trust someone who has hurt him in the past. T'gat makes a reliable and faithful friend or lover, though his stolidity has led certain of his former loves to accuse him of being boring or unromantic. He is level-headed under stress or hardship as well, and flies Thread with the sort of quiet competence that is often overlooked, yet crucial to success. T'gat will go to considerable lengths to avoid physical confrontation; if forced into a fight, he will seek to end it as quickly as possible - usually by overpowering the other combatant.
Information about T'gat's pets
Pet Name: Sheen
Pet Type: Feline
Appearance: Sheen is a sleek and regal feline of slightly larger than average size. Her coat is a silvery grey color, dotted and streaked with darker grey in a broken tabby pattern. Her eyes are a clear pale green. She is well-balanced in shape and strikingly beautiful.
Personality: Sheen is the Empress of Pern and you'd better not forget it. She will occasionally bestow her favor upon some human and permit them to touch her, but only T'gat is truly worthy of her affections. Even he must keep to his place, however, or be punished with a swift claw, as are all malefactors.
Information about T'gat's dragon
Dragon Name: Maath
Age: 14 Turns
Wing (Weyrling Group): Direflame
Appearance: Maath is uncommonly large for a brown. His hide is a very dark shade, much like that of his rider, and has extensive highlights in lighter shades. He has broad, sweeping wings and a relatively thick neck, though not so much as to constitute a fault in conformation. His head is normal-sized for a dragon, but ends up looking a little small in comparison to the rest of him. Maath has Threadscore scars on both wingtips, and a single shallow scar along his left flank.
Personality: Maath, like his rider, is steady and reliable. When there is something important to be done, he will put forth whatever effort is needed to accomplish the task, but at other times he is so conservative of energy as to border on laziness. He is generally laid-back in his interactions with other dragons. Maath will not chase after every green that rises - only those he likes, and if he feels he has sufficient energy reserves to take on the task properly. When he chases, he's always out to win, and tends to get a bit grumpy when he fails.
Weyr of Origin: Igen
Abilites and weaknesses: Maath is a powerful and tireless flier. His strength and his broad wings make him very skilled at high-altitude work. He can also perform power dives and other strength-based moves quite well. On the other hand, Maath is not particularly agile. So, while he may bank majestically, he will not be turning on a wingtip anytime soon, nor will he be darting in and around dragons flying in close formation. He has an almost uncanny skill at predicting the fall of individual clumps of Thread, which has served him well given his relative lack of agility. The down side is that he sometimes ends up going between more often than average during the course of Fall.
