Appearance: S'nen is tall and rangy. He has a lean build that gives him a fit look with little effort. His height is measured at 5’10”. Couple that with short-cut ash-blond hair and striking blue eyes, and the brownrider is considered very handsome.

One faint Threadscar from long ago still traces over his cheek, where char from burnt Thread dusted him. Other than that, though, he's unmarked.

Personality: S’nen is an intensely proud, even prickly, individual. He's' keen on insisting on everyone and everything around him meeting the highest standards. He's also a perfectionist, often holding himself to near impossible standards. He’s got a quick temper, though it’s cooled a little over the Turns.

Nor does he exactly fall over himself to be friendly with others, preferring to remain aloof when possible. It's difficult for him to swallow his pride enough to unbend to the point of making friends.

To a *very* few chosen few who have worked to gain his trust (and respect), however, S’nen will return that loyalty and offer friendship, if awkwardly.

History: Born Sternen to a female drudge named Izeni, out of High Reaches Hold, Sternen- as far as he knows, at least- was an only child. He’d been named after his mother’s grandfather. Izeni coddled her child, made much fuss of him, assured him that his father, a minor Lord, would one day come to claim him as heir and then she and Sternen would live much better. Sternen grew up being fussed over and coddled. Even when he was playing with the other Holdbrats, was always attempting to be the one in charge.

When Sternen was 13, a Searchrider’s dragon on patrol from High Reaches Weyr spoke to him, and invited Sternen to the Weyr, and Sternen initially wanted to refuse. He couldn’t rule a Hold if he was a *dragonrider*, after all. However, Izena pleaded with her son to just give it a try, and Sternen reluctantly conceded.

The first Hatching he Stood for was a complete disaster, Sternen standing alone and completely humiliated when two separate dragons walked right past him, and he wrote home promptly to his mother. Izena convinced him to try one more time, however, and on the next Hatching, who should wobble his way but brown Sekerth!

Weyrlinghood was consistently difficult for Sternen and Sekerth,the rider and dragon both suffering some form of Impression Anxiety that eventually wound both of the pair up in front of the Weyrlingmaster himself with a stern talking to and warning that if they didn’t pull it together, they might wind up grounded.

S’nen accepted the reprimand for what it was, and swallowed his pride for the most part, the pair graduating with no further significant trouble.

Flights led to another interesting development- S’nen found himself not only with flight moth girls, but on the few occasional flights Sekerth flew and won, discovered that he was also (shamefully) attracted to male riders.

His hopes for ruling a hold dashed, S’nen set himself to a new goal- leading a Weyr. Never mind the Northern opinion of browns making wingsecond at best. He would be *Weyrleader* someday.

Having heard enough strange things about Arolos eventually prompted S’nen to transfer South, in hopes of the odd Weyr providing his own rise to Weyrleader. (With only a quick stop at High Reaches Hold to collect his mother Izena.)

Dragon Name: Sekerth

Colour: Brown

Age: 13

Wing (Weyrling Group): Skystrikers

Appearance: Sekerth is the quintessential brown. At least in size. He’s neither too large, nor too small. His hide is a deep, rich, chocolatey brown, with lighter, almost tan, paws. There’s no other accents on his hide, save a healed over Threadscar on his neck, where he ducked between a bit slow after being scored once. He’s a bit thinner than an average brown. His wings are, if anything, a tad long.

Personality: Sekerth is an impassive sort. To the outside observer, it’s difficult to tell what the brown is thinking at any one time. Anyone not his rider will be regarded with initial suspicion, and it would take persistent questioning to get anything out of him. Oddly enough, however, this brown will be remarkably fond of both children and flits.

Weyr of Origin: High Reaches

Abilites and weaknesses: Sekerth just isn’t as agile in the air as a smaller blue and green might be, but he’s got stamina enough to fly a whole Fall and then some more.
