NaromName Pronounced: na r om Appearance: Narom really could be called a right ‘pretty boy’ if not for his guard training. He isn’t overly tall probably 5’6 on a good day standing at full height with his good boots on. His overall form is almost hourglass like with his shoulders and hips being closer in width and his waist being slimmer, the only thing that keeps it from being obvious is the muscle he had put on during his years of being a guard. His face is almost babyish in its overall look, but he can’t quite be called that because of the facial hair that he allows to grow but it doesn’t help too much as he really just ends up with something similar to a goatee. His hair is kept to the length of his chin all around as he cuts it himself with a belt knife making it slightly more ‘ragged’ and ‘manly’ looking, at least according to him, and it is a rather fine mess of black that is hard to much with not that he really tries. His light brown eyes don’t help him out much looking slightly large and overly round due to the way they are set in his face. His skin actually holds several small pale scars here and there from his training, but for the most part it is a lighter tan from the candle marks he spends ‘watching the entrance’ AKA sitting in one place and doing very little. Over all he doesn’t really mind his looks, but he knows that they could cause him problems with some of the weyr members so he does tend to make sure to stay hidden under bulky clothing when he can to make him look less well like a ‘pervert’ because while he doesn’t care about the politics of the Weyr he knows plenty of others do and he doesn’t feel like being judged because of /that/ thank-you-very-much. Personality: Narom really is a rather lazy thing in truth. He became a guard because he thought it would be easy and by the time he figured out that it wasn’t as easy as he thought he was too lazy to change to something else. If he could manage it his day would consist of: wake up, bath, eat morning meal, work out a bit, watch the entrance to the guard’s area of the weyr, eat midday meal, sit around and watch the entrance some more, maybe work out a bit more, eat evening meal, then go to bed. If he can sneak in a bit of fun or maybe someone to go to bed with in there without to much work on his part well all the better. He does manage to get quite a few of the ‘sit around and watch the entrance’ shifts but that is because he switches with some of the other guards who don’t like to sit around and do nothing. His current choice of ‘fun’ usually consists of finding some way to torment Pelagheer since the older guard really does need to get that stick out of his arse, well as far as Narom is concerned he does. Probably one of the /major/ complaints against him would be his lack of respect for his superiors at time. While most times Pelagheer is the focus of such things he isn’t the most formal thing ever and unless it is Malcyom he just tends to blow of titles and even proper names at times. He isn’t a /bad/ guy though not really, more just he isn’t as ‘stuck up’ as some of the others and he just doesn’t see the need for all that formality. At least that is part of it. History: Born to a harper and a weaver who were both stationed at Fort Weyr for several turns together his parents never had any real feeling towards him in the sense of wanting or not wanting him. Neither had much thought about it both being dedicated to their crafts, but when they first got together because of a goldflight it just because a fling that spanned several turns until first his father and then mother were transferred out.
