Name Pronounced: n AE d y uh
Appearance: This woman is short, plump, and curvy, with broad hips and an ample bust. Her overall appearance is matronly as a result: pillowed by fat, and soft skin. Her eyes are a bluish gray, and crow's feet already wrinkle their corners. She has an expressive mouth and full, fleshy lips, and pronounced dimples when she smiles. Her hair verges on the darker shades of auburn, lightly red-streaked throughout, and falls to mid-back in a single, thick braid. Her skin is olive-toned and mostly unblemished, though there are signs of very faint pox scars on her face, and smile lines at the corners of her mouth.
Personality: Nadja is a practical woman with a penchant for mothering people she views as 'projects', and often takes charge in situations where there is no clear leader - though is just as happy to defer to a man when one is present. She is clever enough to know her place and how to use her position to her advantage, but that cleverness doesn't make her particularly cold or unapproachable. She's vibrant and social, and enjoys being the center of attention when it falls to her naturally.
History: Nadja grew up the youngest daughter of wandering traders who mostly bought and sold between Igen Hold and Telgar Hold. Her life was fairly uneventful and happy until during one trading run between Holds, her family's trafficked herd of runner beasts sickened and died. The loss ruined them financially and her family never recovered, leaving Nadja with a deep resentment of the local beastcrafting hall that had held her family's debts. Her father and brothers were forced to work menial labouring jobs on the riverboats of Telgar River to repay it, while her mother hawked trinkets and baubles at every Gather in the region to make some extra marks.
