N'metName Pronounced: nuh-MEHT Appearance: Tall, proud, and strong, N’met is a sturdy brownrider who looks more like a Wingsecond or even Wingleader than a Dragonhealer. Standing at a towering 6’4”, his broad shoulders, calm face, and warm smile invoke the image of a trusted leader that one can confide anything to. His salt-and-pepper hairline has receded far back from where it once stood but where it remains is still thick, soft, and curled close to his head. N’met’s skin is the color of dark klah on a cold winter’s morning and his eyes match in depth. Personality: “Cool grandpa” would be a very appropriate description of N’met. He’s very relaxed and easygoing with a slow and deep voice like syrup on a cool day. It helps him keep dragons and riders calm in Threadfall when one’s been hurt, or even helps a Weyrling calm down when the young dragon injures itself or gets thicktail and panics. He likes to distract the injured and panicking with talking about what they liked and places they wanted to go. It’s a practice that he picked up from helping to take care of other kids in the creche that carried over to his own kids (once he had them). History: Born in Telgar Weyr, Naonamet experienced a fairly normal Weyr childhood. He took harpering lessons growing up until it was time for him to Stand. As it was still during the Interval, clutches weren’t that large and most of the candidates, including Naonamet. It wasn’t until his twentieth Turn that brown Abartth found his way to the then-young-man and their Weyrlinghood began. Information about N'met's pets Pet Name: Sojourner Pet Type: Brown Firelizard Appearance: CInnamon brown from nose to tailtip, Sojourner is on the longer side for a Callmere-but-not brown. Darker swirls can be seen deep inside his hide like klah under the foam of a fresh brew. His wings are perfectly proportionate for his length and are just a shade lighter than the rest of his body. Personality: Sojourner, as his name suggests, does not like to sit still. While he will happily rest on N'met's shoulder all day, if he's off for whatever reason, he won't stay in any one place for more than a few minutes. He's good at carrying items needed for dragonhealing about since it means he's moving around the infirmary and being useful at the same time. Second Pet Name: Naonamesk Pet Type: Brown Wher Appearance: Large like his sire, Naonamesk is a standard textbook build with absolutely no deviation. Even his hide is the same color brown all over without a single fleck or spot, and the color itself can only be described as brown. Other than his size, this wher is perfectly normal and standard. Nothing to see here that is out of order. Personality: Deliberate and set in his routine, Naonamesk does not do well with change of routine, but will obey N’met without question even if it means changing habits. He enjoys trying to be creative and “building” things, especially dens or as he’ll call them, “sheds”. Naonamesk appreciates the true value to be had in having a good day even though a good day can mean many things. His pack will be the single most important thing to him and he will defend it. Should his owner ever have pancakes or flatbreads, they should be ready for this wher to steal them at the first chance that he gets. He enjoys human food even though, or perhaps because, he’s not allowed to have it. Information about N'met's dragon Dragon Name: Abartth Colour: Brown Age: 42 Wing (Weyrling Group): Miscellaneous Riders Appearance: With the exception of his large size, Abartth overall looks like your textbook brown dragon. He’s easily the size of some small bronzes which makes his job catching falling dragons in Threadfall so much easier. His jaw and headknobs are angular and his muzzle rounded, but that’s about the most unique features his body has. He’s the dusty color of wheat ready to be threshed on a cloudy day- not the exceptional golden brown of grains in the sun, but a calm and ordinary cloud-covered sky dulling the gleam. The color is absolutely uniform save for one darker patch right on the tip of Abartth’s nose which N’met has always liked to rub and their patients have found soothing to touch as well. Personality: Abartth is calm, pensive, and quiet. He’ll listen to anything that anyone has to say with no comment unless one’s asked for, but he’ll also be glad to tell someone a story if they need one. Often he’s helped calm panicking patients in the dragon infirmary with tales either genuine or made up of dragons and riders who acted with great bravery and gallantry in the past, stories that he pulls from N’met’s own mind or even makes up on the spot. He knows he’s old and probably not that great up in ‘Fall anymore, but he also knows quite well that he’s very useful in the infirmary and enjoys it there. Weyr of Origin: Telgar Abilites and weaknesses: While his size makes him very capable of lasting through a ‘Fall and catching all but the very biggest of dragons on his back, Abartth’s agility is next to none. He’s calm and patient when dealing with shrieking and panicking dragons but stupidity will make him growl and mentally snap at whoever uttered the nonsense.
