MathomCharacter type: SeaCrafter Appearance: From first glance it is obvious that Mathom comes from a long line of Igenites. Willowly build and a dark complexion combine with strong facial features and high cheek bones. Despite his slender frame, though, his muscles are wiry and strong. Though only average height (at 5'8") there is still something about him that's slightly intimidating. Mathom has black hair, that curls *very* tightly and that he keeps cropped close to his head, and dark brown eyes. He's got several tatoos on his body, ranging from his forearms, to his chest and back, and adds another one every turn. Personality: Though not the sharpest tool in the box, Mathom has gained some measure of repect on board ship through simple intimidation. Feared more than liked by many people, he's obstinate and hates to admit that he's wrong. About anything. His usual reaction to adversity is to shout... and if that fails to use his fists. While Mathom obeys orders from those that rank him he does carry grudges if he thinks he's been wronged. Not for nothing has he gained the reputation as one of the most violent men in his crew - his grudges and outburts seem to be resolved with is fists more often than not. His temper is unpredictable, sometimes set off for the littlest of things, and many members of the crew tread warily around him. History: Mathom grew up in a small farming community on the Igen shoreline. The local harper visited only infrequently, and as Mathom found letters and numbers 'difficult' he never progressed very quickly.
