Character type: Dragonrider
Appearance: Currently going through that gawky adolescent phase, Malonant is quite tall and scrawny looking and even once his build has caught up with his sudden increase in height he will always be on the lean side. His hair is sandy brown in colour and always looking as if it needs a good brushing while his eyes are blue. His complexion is not best suited for the sunny southern climate, and his skin often alternates between being burned red to covered in freckles.
Personality: Malonant is a daydreamer and seems to inhabit a world all of his own. He tends to keep to himself, not out of shyness but more because he's too busy listening to his imagination. He tends to act as if such mundane things as conversation are a distraction, and though he does not mean to be rude he has a habit of not paying attention to those around him. Yet, he is sometimes capable of bringing up long forgotten events and conversations at the most inopportune times. He is quite open and honest, and when he does talk to others he will quite often put his foot in it by bluntly blurting out some secret or tactless comment. When first meeting new people he will assume the worst, that he is annoying them and they don't like him, unless assured otherwise. As he does not put on any sort of front, he expects the same from others, and will take people at face value rather than suspect any hidden motive.
History: Southern born and bred, Malonant was raised on a small cothold near Arolos Hold. Living with his parents and five brothers his childhood was happy enough, though his nature made him an easy target for typical sibling pranks and teasing and then the more spiteful bullying from other children from the nearby area. Malonant dealt with such treatment by ignoring it and retreating into his own inner world, and so as a child he was quite happy to wander off alone entertaining himself.
Information about M'nant's dragon
Dragon Name: Myristicath
Age: 9 Months
Wing (Weyrling Group): None
Appearance: Egg - Spring Loam Egg: Sometimes when the Holders turn the soil for the first time in the spring, the soil breaks and is a rich crumbly texture, with an edible look. Much like a rich fruit cake that had been crumbled up, looking moist and appetising even when it is obviously soil. There is an earg to dig in deep to the Spring Loam Egg, though it is impossible to do so, the urge is to dig in, to reach. It gives a sense of growing, of things developing so clearly, it is like growing up yourself all over again. Within this Egg there is something seeking great potential, and it will reach for those Candidates who feel that themselves.
Personality: Optimistic and thoughtful in all senses of the word, Myristicath can sometimes succumb to flights of fancy and speculation that are harmless and entertaining rather than anything else - if occassionally irritating when he should be concentrating.
Weyr of Origin: Arolos
Abilites and weaknesses: When he grows up, Myristicath will be a great one for catching thermals and rising to dizzying heights. His Wing control for gliding will be exceptional and as a result he will be able to fly straight for much longer than other blue dragons can manage.
