LinsaCharacter type: Other Appearance: At 5 feet 3, Linsa can't be called tall, and her plain slightly scarred face doesn't make her stand out from the crowd. What does make her stand out is her clothing - she delights in wearing bright colours which clash. She has shoulder length brown hair but was blonde as a child, and blue eyes which are a bit short-sighted. She has a high forehead and quite a large nose for the rest of her face, and her chin is a little weak. She has a long Threadscore scar which runs down her back from her left shoulder to her hip, so her clothing is never revealing at the back. Personality: A short fuse and frequent swearing are two of Linsa's main characteristics. She doesn't like children, although she used to, and has no wish to have any more of her own. She's quick to criticise anyone she doesn't respect but has learned to hold her tongue if it's someone in a position of authority. Loyal to her weyrmate of 14 turns, she's often frustrated by his refusal to admit when his knees are stiff. Linsa doesn't suffer fools gladly and hates being let down as it's something she doesn't do to others. History: Born at High Reaches Weyr to weyr staff rather than riders, Linsa is an only child due to her father's illnesses. She first stood to a clutch at 14 but didn't Impress and decided to carry on with her apprenticeship as a healer. She was talented and was close to graduation when her father died. Disillusioned by her craft's inability to save him, she immersed herself in candidate training and Impressed Erith at 18. Having previously been sheltered to some extent from High Reaches riders' attitudes, she quickly became disgusted and transferred to Telgar. Within two sevendays of getting settled in their new location Erith rose, pairing with Northeath in a long flight which benefited from the brown's stamina. Linsa doesn't have a good relationship with her weyrmate M'rak's children as they have caused her a lot of problems and heartache although she has tried to be there for them. They are now old enough to stand on their own two feet and she's happy to leave them to follow their own paths when she and M'rak transfer to Arolos. She has a daughter Bythany by M'rak who decided to stay with her half-siblings but has since come south. Information about Linsa's pets Pet Name: Norak Pet Type: Brown firelizard Appearance: A dark nut brown in the main, Norak's tail has a few lighter coloured splotches on it. He's a stocky little thing, unkind people would call him pudgy, and his wings are just that little bit larger than necessary to keep him in the air. Personality: Norak is a serious little fellow who tries to help but hasn't quite got the hang of things yet. He's very attached to his bonded and leaves her side only rarely, when she instructs him to. Information about Linsa's dragon Dragon Name: Erith Colour: Green Age: 16 Wing (Weyrling Group): CloudDancers Appearance: Erith is mainly a dark green like the light under a forest canopy. Her wings are lighter, more emerald in colour. Often a dragon has lighter hide towards its muzzle but Erith's colour lightens towards the tip of her tail, almost as if she was hand coloured and the artist ran out of pigment before she was finished. Her belly is a patchwork of different shades ranging from spring leaves to grass. Personality: Impetuous and easily irritated, Erith is rather intimidating if she doesn't know you well. She will look down her muzzle at you and even if her rider likes you she may not. She's not a playful dragon but quite serious for a green. She's not an outrageous flirt, even when she flies, being of the opinion that there aren't many dragons good enough for her. She gives her friendship and trust only to a very selected few. Weyr of Origin: High Reaches Abilites and weaknesses: Fantastically agile in the air, Erith knows she has no stamina and always leaves a Fall when told. She has no wish to endanger herself and Linsa unnecessarily. She is a little vain and responds well to flattery.
