Kl'ryn![]() Name Pronounced: Klrin Appearance: Kl'ryn stands 5 feet-8, something he once doubted was possible, and it therefore put some confidence into his withdrawn stance. These days it bears a scrawny stature that's less prominent, except it hasn't lost the vague frailness that some would've considered as petite. On the positive side, nothing has lessened the flexibility as athletic muscles etch themselves across the lithe, but trim body. Several features protrude in distinct, bony angles softened somewhat by the remnants of babyfat and among those a straight nose points outward with it's plain tip rounded-off having no inclination either up or down. His high-set cheekbones add further shape, whereas the other features appear cherubically cute starting from the small chin that becomes a narrow, meagerly square jaw. There are faint dimples underneath the slight puffiness of his cheeks too. Personality: A hesitant confidence conceals nervousness over whether someone might consider him weak and lacks the self-assurance that'd restrain his defensive nature. He'd prefer meeting every expectation rather than disappoint whomever he must be around, however, bossy non-rankers push those limits until the fiery temper inside him snaps, causing him sudden fright. It doesn't make him become too irrational anymore, still he'll have trouble forgiving and trusting. Behind his impulsive decisions a competitive determination prevents him from being easy-going. History: Klaryn was the result of a mating flight, two blues didn't have any success but their riders certainly did. Nine and a half monthes later Klaryn was born at Fort Weyr. Which was Turn's End. Information about Kl'ryn's pets Pet Name: Rivalry Pet Type: Bronze Firelizard Appearance: Rivalry hatched a pale buttermilk-bronze, beginning life without what is normally a healthy coloration, but whether something was wrong isn't an issue because his hide has darkened since then. It is still a buttermilk-bronze coloration just nowhere near the dangerous pallor he'd had before. His size, however, hasn't improved greatly. While not being the smallest bronze firelizard, he's not a full medium-size either in that sleek form with it's smooth muscled mounds. He needed that strength to control a wingspan that's rather big for a bronze like himself. Personality: Rivalry isn't much different from his name. The constant need for attention, whether from his human or those that he's adjusted to being around, gives way to scorn toward anything that keeps him from receiving said attention. Once his vengeance is satisfied he'll return to being a simple, demanding bronze firelizard that won't even send mental images as explanation because such's below him. As far as he's concerned his actions in most cases can speak for themselves, though some situations might drive him into passing on a message...if it's something urgent enough. Second Pet Name: Khepret Pet Type: Brown Wher Appearance: There are muscles everywhere that’re apparent even within all those wrinkles. Lean, well-built muscles that would’ve otherwise remained unseen were his stature not rather big-boned. That made him rather stout considering his medium, 525 pound, size must’ve let everyone recognize him as Callamere. Khepret will, therefore, possess more stamina than many brown whers. His pattern isn’t something familiar to anyone on *Pern* but the sienna across him seem somewhat reddish-brown with paler, russet underside and tail-tip. Whereas those brown paws are so dark that everyone would’ve seen them as black. Personality: Some will say that “you can’t shame the shameless” was meant for describing this brown wher, except he’s not shameless. What Khepret considers shameful is different from what humans might consider shameful. He sees no shame in mating, so won’t possess any qualm about sticking his nose against someone and declaring that they’ve been //mating recently. This will make his human turn some interesting colors that he’ll not hesitate over pointing out either. Eventually all that he’ll view as shameful would be harming someone that doesn’t deserve to be harmed. Information about Kl'ryn's dragon Dragon Name: Sengroth (Sen) Colour: Brown Age: 18 turns Wing (Weyrling Group): Direflame Appearance: Sengroth is a wall of muddy water, one that moves with a single-minded drive that engulfs obstacles in the path of the giant brown form as he reaches for what is most important to him at the moment. He simply is the mightiest brown of Jenith's clutch, perhaps the mightiest if one considers that he already had untoned mass at hatching, though by now the great mass of muscles has taken on it's true definition beneath his dark, moist-seeming hide. The unhealthy looking hide would look more like the sludge at the bottom of a fetid swamp than a rich brown-black dragonskin. Which would be an unpleasant effect enhanced by the even darker dappling on his large wingsails becoming like leeches, and the light, root-like veins of colour on his 'fingers' and 'toes' may well appear to be a nasty sort of mold. Not that Kl'ryn has never let such an effect happen. Personality: That's not to say that keeping him clean will be easy, even young he is quite a lot of dragon. Which isn't helped by the fact that Sengroth doesn't like bathing. He in fact hates it and only lets himself be bathed because it's easier on Kl'ryn. He's prone to make all the walking and contorting necessary for cleaning him seem like way too much effort, especially when he can just lay in the sun and be comfortable. After all, the smell doesn't bother him. Either way Sengroth still has to be herded into the water, but beware because it sure makes him grumpy, and grumpy Sengroth is a forboding sight, with slitted eyes, a thumping tail, and a subsonic grumbling growl shaking the ground around him. But as scary as he seems, he's just a big softy deep down...though it's a very, very deep down...and he won't do more than look intimidating. He certainly won't be social, now or ever, but with persistance some others might befriend him. Even feeding the brown is a chore of itself that sometimes has Kl'ryn sympathizing with his bronzeriding classmates. Weyr of Origin: Arolos Abilites and weaknesses: Sengroth's one strong brown, a true powerhouse of strength when it comes right down to things. He might not be a bronze but he does a very good impersonation of one with the strength he can display. It's not surprising how long he can actually last in the air, but he powers roughly through speed and turns. Graceful is certainly one thing he is not. But as long as the job gets done, not being smooth doesn't matter to him.
