G'tonName Pronounced: guh-tawn Appearance: Because of his specific situation, G’ton doesn’t adhere to the usual rules about dragonrider appearance. His hair is longer than the norm and he has a thicker beard than usual, though in both cases he keeps himself well groomed and will often decorate with beads or tokens. He is a tall man, with light brown skin, a muscular figure and reddish brown hair. Under thick eyebrows his light brown, nearly amber, eyes stare out with intensity. His face is naturally serious, which can be intimidating due to his physical condition, though it isn’t too hard to make him laugh or smile. He has various tattoos and scars throughout his body. Naturally athletic, G’ton is always up for a hike, or a swim, or whatever--even walking the canines. Personality: The first impression you’ll make of G’ton is a large, gruff man, who doesn’t talk much and when he does he’s spartan with words and very much to the point. Then you get to know him--G’ton is a fun-loving, adventure-seeking, animal-obsessed beast full of energy with a dark sense of humor and a biting wit. He isn’t big on following rules if he doesn’t have to and willingly spends as little time as possible around the Weyr, and when he does he’s mingling with the other Beastcrafters--the exception being during Threadfall where he will volunteer just about anywhere to make up for his absence in the Wings--just, you don’t need to tell him what to do or where to go, he *knows* and he doesn’t need anyone telling him what to do. History: Garoton was born at Keroon Hold to a couple of Sr JMs that would eventually become masters of their craft. At a young age, his mother and father split up, as his mother was obsessed with the wonders of the Southern Continent whereas his father was perfectly content to stay at the Beastcrafter’s Hall submersed into academia. Because of his age, it was decided that he would go with his mother. Garo flourished in the South and received his fire-lizard at ten turns old, a little blue that he named Flea. Information about G'ton's pets Pet Name: Flea Pet Type: Blue Firelizard Appearance: A light, sky blue in color, with darker patches along his back, like dots. He’s rather large and muscular for a blue, probably strong enough to wrestle a brown or stand up to a bronze if he had to, G’ton reckons. Personality: He’s rather affectionate towards pretty much everyone. G’ton has practical use for him and takes good care of him, but usually leaves the petting and stuff like that to apprentices or whomever he finds that wants to. Flea will eat just about anything you give him. Sleeps with G’ton every night, usually curled up on the inside of his arm. Information about G'ton's dragon Dragon Name: Rilarnth Colour: Brown Age: 20 Wing (Weyrling Group): Miscellaneous Riders Appearance: He is a rather large brown, though far from the largest in the Weyr. His hide is a thick chocolatey uniform that lightens up considerably on his underbelly. Due to a terrible injury in fall, both of his eyes are gone, replaced by two gaping holes covered in excessive amounts of scar tissue. The scars extend all around his face, and it’s easy to see the full extent of damage thread tendrils can do. Personality: He used to be a rather rambunctious brown, similar to his rider, always planning his next adventure. Since going blind he’d been much more introspective and subdued and if often a presence with the dragonhealers during Fall, ailing them in calming down injured dragons. He speaks to other humans on a regular basis, and is rather independent from G’ton. He liked their excursions a lot and has a rather refined sense of smell and hearing and can usually detect hidden things with much more ease than his rider, the supposed expert. He likes to tease G’ton a lot, and is more often than not the voice of reason when his rider wants to try some overly ambitious physical feat. Weyr of Origin: Arolos Abilites and weaknesses: He's blind. Extraordinary sense of smell and hearing as a result.
