G'nahCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: G'nah is about five feet, nine inches tall and is thin and small-built. He is well muscled as a result of his physical duties and drills, but he will never be extremely large or tall. G'nah has short-cut, brown, slightly wavy hair. It has some natural highlights from the Southern sun, but nothing so light as could be called blond. His skin is tanned and his eyes are green with a bit of aqua along the outer rim of the iris and a bit of brown around the pupil. Personality: G'nah is fun-loving and enjoys pursuing pleasure. As such, he can be rather selfish. He is not at all what anyone would call 'sweet,' though he is a charming conversationalist and a great storyteller. He may have made an excellent Harper. He likes showing off all he knows. G'nah is not really the type to have much of a long term relationship yet. It is not something that has occurred to him, but maybe he just has not found the right person. It was harder for him to be sexual outside of flight at High Reaches, of course. That is not to say he was not sexual at all; he just had to be more careful. He is no longer the type that will have sex with anything that moves, though he was in his younger days. However, he does enjoy a good roll in the furs. History: Gienah was born at High Reaches weyr to a drudge woman impregnated by some faceless dragonrider during a gold flight. She never knew the man's name and she never pointed him out to Gienah. The boy grew up quite sure that his father must have been someone of low status, or else his mother would have been proud enough to tell him who he was. He performed drudge work in the lower caverns once he was too old to remain in the creche and never entertained the thought of becoming a dragonrider until one of his drudge friends suggested it to him at age 14. It was not that he did not want to become a dragonrider; it just never occurred to him that being weyrbred, he had that right to stand if he so chose. Seeing an opportunity to escape drudgery, a lifestyle that did not agree with him, he became a candidate along with his friend. Because of the anti-homosexual atmosphere at High Reaches, Gienah had always kept his sexuality a secret, perhaps even from himself, until he Impressed Corvuth at 16 turns. When she finally chose him, he came to grips with the fact that he never had been attracted to women. Once Corvuth was old enough, G'nah made short work of making up for whatever time he lost in having sex with men. As he got older, he found himself in constant trouble with his wingleaders and even from time to time with the weyrleader himself because of Corvuth's attitude and sharp tongue. Her no-nonsense backtalk to her rankers was the cause of many an evening spent on extra duty, washing latrines or other work that he had become a dragonrider to escape! Finally, G'nah's wingleader approached him and suggested that he transfer away from High Reaches. He was sympathetic to G'nah's plight and helped him coordinate his transfer to Arolos Weyr. Information about G'nah's pets Pet Name: Cassie Pet Type: Green Firelizard Appearance: Altogether, this green is physically rather unremarkable, just the sort to fade into the background as 'just another flit.' Her hide is an even, mid-tone of moss green, with slight dappled variation over the length of her form, and while pretty enough, it doesn't draw the eye. She hatched mid-sized and will remain so as she grows. Her form is evenly proportioned, nothing in particular standing out, though she is somewhat delicately made, stopping just short of being elegant. Personality: There was something a bit unsettling about her egg, and there is likewise something a bit unsettling about this green, in a vague way that may pass by notice entirely if you're not paying attention. In the way she looks at you and studies her surroundings, there is a piercing quality which is a bit uncomfortable – especially when this little one seems to pop up exactly when you don't want her to, watching things you'd rather no one have seen. She is dramatically perceptive, sensitive to the little hints at nervousness or secrets that someone with something to hide displays without even knowing it, and her attention is instantly riveted by them, determination aroused to find the root of the matter. Surely if someone looks a bit jumpy, they're off to do something interesting, and they shouldn't be surprised to turn around when their business is done to find her there, watching calmly. In short order, access to this green's mind would be any gossip's dream. As a flit's memory goes, hers is uncanny, able to recall connections, if not all the details, far longer than is usual. Information about G'nah's dragon Dragon Name: Corvuth Colour: Green Age: 7 Wing (Weyrling Group): Wind-dance Fury Appearance: Corvuth is a rock. She is short and small, but very stocky. She seems to have no sharp edges about her; everything is blunt. Her muzzle, her paws, her tail, her wingtips: all blunted. She is by no means unattractive, but she is not what one thinks of when they ponder a gorgeous green. Her body type commands something more of a respect of what she can do physically rather than how she looks aesthetically. Corvuth is a deep forest green. She looks as though if she had been just a few shades darker, she might have been black. She has mottled stripes of a lighter green splotched across her wings, perpendicular to the wings themselves, and down her back and on her head. Her underbelly is a more solid dark green. Personality: Corvuth is not a typically flirtacious green. She is hardly interested at all in a male who compliments her or boasts of himself. She cares little for a dragon who is loquacious; rather, she appreciates a dragon who can show her what he is worth. Corvuth is playful. She loves to do anything physical, whether it is racing in the air or on the ground, hunting, perhaps even wrestling. Though she might be a bit large now, as an adult, to do things like running on the ground or wrestling, she will only be further compelled to try such things if she is told that she cannot do them. She has a curiosity about her, though she will only inquire to G'nah to ask her questions. The only human worth paying any attention to is her own G'nah, and though she is not a jealous type, she is hardly likely to do more than acknowledge another person and will seldom speak to them. Corvuth is also protective of G'nah and of other dragons she takes a liking to. She does not appreciate traditionally ranking colors picking on other dragons or ranking riders picking on lessers. She believes in more of a meritocratic system of rank and lives by the adage, "If you respect me, I will respect you." Weyr of Origin: High Reaches Abilites and weaknesses: Corvuth's stocky frame detracts from her aerial agility, though her musculature and small size grant her a bit more endurance than her daintier green sisters.
