G'larName Pronounced: Gar-lar Appearance: G'lar is a fairly tall man that stands at a respectable height of 5'11". His skin is a light tan in colour that seems to suit him rather well. He has dark golden-blond hair that flows down to end at around mid-ear level. His hair is combed forward which seems to suit the style just fine. The hair at the back of his head was allowed to grow a little longer and comes down to just below the ears in length. Just above his forehead he has short spiky golden-blond bangs that seem to stick outwards slightly. Above his eyes are two golden-blond eyebrows that are of medium thickness. His eyebrows seem to help enhance the colour of his eyes and also allow him a wider variety of facial expressions. His eyes are a startling indigo blue in colour that seems to reflect an open honesty within them. His indigo blue eyes are rather intense to look at and some people can find his gaze a bit unsettling. His nose is of medium size and well-formed with the only thing noticeable about it being that the bridge of his nose is a bit on the thin side. His pale lips are of medium thickness and are rather ordinary looking. His face is rather angular and he has a well-defined jaw, and overall he has finely chiselled features. His neck is of medium thickness and corded with muscle, which suits his medium build. Personality: Chivalry is not dead, at least not when it comes to this particular rider. His personality is very much like the knights of old that once existed on Earth. Although he doesn't follow a code of chivalry like they did his morals are very similar. His parents taught him strong morals and he strengthened those morals and made them his own. He is very polite, even to those who are rude to him. He also respects everyone whether they are a Lord Holder or simply a drudge, or at least he tries his best to do so. There are some people he finds hard to respect but instead of insulting them he'll simply be polite but distant. To protect the weak and defenceless is something he often tries to do, though he tends to use words instead of violence. Nothing can get him angrier when he sees a man hitting a woman or an animal being beaten. When he is angry his voice sounds cold and emotionless. He will interfere if he sees a woman being abused or an animal being beaten, though force is a last resort for him. To obey those placed in authority comes automatically to him and he doesn't have a problem following orders. He was always ordered around by his parents to do chores and such and as a result he got used to taking them. He will come to the rescue of anyone he thinks needs his help, though he is careful to gauge each situation carefully first. He can be very charming when he wants to be but of course that also depends on other people's opinion of him. His word is his bond and honour is a big thing for him. He will not hit women, he will not fight a defenceless opponent, and he will not turn his back on those who need his help. History: Father: Information about G'lar's pets Pet Name: Ebaricna Pet Type: Bronze Firelizard Appearance: Were this bronze to stand amid the shards of his shell, his own hide would be almost indistinguishable from the surrounding egg remnants. His coloring is the same deep, burnished bronze, glinting dimly in the light like a well-worn metal shell over his body, variations of light and dark over the length of his form appearing like dints and notches Personality: The color of this flit's hide designates him as a leader, and he is aware not only of the position, but of the trials and tribulations that inevitably come with such power, and takes his duties very seriously. With great power comes great responsibility, and from the Information about G'lar's dragon Dragon Name: Hieroth Colour: Brown Age: 12 Wing (Weyrling Group): Unforgettables (Adoptables Wing) Appearance: Rich mahogany brown hues sweep over the broad muzzle of this large brown dragon. The dark mahogany brown hues continue up from his muzzle to sweep over his narrow well-rounded eyeridges. Underneath his eyeridges are two brightly whirling eyes that change color depending on his mood. His mahogany brown cheeks are streaked with two thin stripes of burnt sienna brown. Near the back of his head are two thin head knobs that are a dark sienna brown in color. His mahogany brown neck is of medium length and is rather on the stocky side. Hieroth's neck is peppered with several sienna brown speckles overtop of the mahogany. The speckles are close to the back of his neck by his neckridges. His neckridges are large and broad and are triangular in shape, each with a unique blend of mahogany brown and sienna brown splotches. His front legs are of medium length and are muscular and stocky. His front legs are mostly a rich mahogany brown in color with a single band of sienna brown curling around each ankle. Flowing down from his left ankle to his foot is a long silvery-white threadscore that is six inches in length. His mahogany brown front feet each sport a set of deadly sienna brown talons that have a slightly jagged edge to them. His belly is a light mahogany brown and is slightly rounded, showing that he eats rather well. Along the right side of his belly is a long threadscore scar, which is a silvery-white in color. His dark mahogany brown sides are very sleek and are untouched by a single other shade of brown. His right side is marred by a silvery-white threadscore scar that is about seven inches in length. His wings are wide and broad, obviously made for endurance rather than agility or speed. The tops of his wings are a solid mahogany brown in color with a single band of sienna brown that stretches across the trailing edges of his wings. The undersides of his wings are far more drab in comparison and are a solid sheen of sienna brown in color. His back legs are slightly longer than the front and a bit more muscular. They are a light mahogany brown in color with a few streaks of sienna brown that run down the length of his legs. His large hind feet each sport a deadly set of mahogany brown talons. His tail is a little over half the length of his body and is a rich mahogany brown in color. Personality: It's ironic that his rider is very much like a gallant knight found in the books of terran earth, for Hieroth is much like a knight's noble steed. Of course there are some key differences, but Hieroth has dedicated himself to helping others just like his rider has. Hieroth shares the very same attitude that his rider does. Chivalry is a large part of this brown's personality, and he is considered to be even more gallant than his rider. He will unhesistantly go to the rescue of anyone who needs it, whether it be a dragon and rider during threadfall or someone's wher trapped under a fallen tree. He has a knack for calming down the injured with soothing words and sounding very reassuring. His daring rescues during threadfall have come with a price, for he has several scars from threadscore in various places upon his body. He has a love of children of any race and he can often be found among them telling stories or letting them scramble all over him. He will speak openly with children but to anyone older he might only utter the occasional sentence, preferring to use verbal cues such as rumbles or bugles to communicate with adults. Hieroth tends to be a bit on the naive side however, liking to believe that there is always some good in everyone. He's the type who would see the glass half full, rather than half empty. Hieroth respects all females and like his rider does he will defer to both greens and golds equally and he won't do anything that is against their will. He doesn't view females as some prize to be caught and rather he will take some time to get to know them, learning what is unique about each one. Weyr of Origin: Igen Abilites and weaknesses: Hieroth has a lot of inner strength that mostly has to do with his personality. He is honorable like his rider and very strong-willed. He is good with teamwork and he has several leadership qualities, though he is not really aware of them. They just come to him naturally. He can be reckless, stubborn, and just plain brash at times though. He's also not the greatest at take offs and landings, which tend to be rather jolty. He does have good endurance however, especially since he is about the size of a small bronze.
