History: As a young girl in the Beastcraft Hall her parents knew that she was special and brought her up as an only child but instilled the qualities that she has now. She was an only child until her little brother was born. Her father, a herder, made sure that she knew how to keep animals (later when she became fifteen she became a herder alongside her father) while her mother made sure she knew how to act like a lady. She grew up doing the same things, never complaining, all the while her friends are coming and going. One day Asera's brother was playing in the aisle outside the stall she was working in when all of a sudden a loud sound crashed and an animal got loose. Before Asera could do anything the animal came crashing down the aisle trampling her brother right before her eyes. Then, the animal turned on her, while she was trying to calm it, and torn the skin off her arm with a claw. after the disaster Asera carried her brother to her father crying hard. They grieved for the lost child for a month, but Asera still had nightmares about the insidant and could not be consoled, until one day when her father brought home a surprise for her, a brown flit egg. When the egg hatched a few days later Asera named it Garric after her brother. The flit was a daredevil and got hurt doing one of his dives and didn't swoop in time before he hit the ground and broke his wing. Despite their best efforts the wing didn't heal straight, but he could still fly with grace. Days went on much the same and Asera slowly healed until the day when she was almost the same as before the accident. However, all that changed in Asera's sixteenth year when a searchrider came to the hold. The searchrider immediately went to Asera's father and talked to him. When Asera's parents told her that she was to go to Arolos Weyr as a candidate she almost fainted with surprise. Never in her wildess dreams did she think that she, a mere herder, could be a candidate for a dragon. With her parents proudly waving her goodbye and goodluck she went with the searchrider back to the Arolos Weyr. Information about Asera's pets Pet Name: Garric Pet Type: flit Appearance: Garric has a bright, shiny brown hide and large eyes.
