A'lorCharacter type: Weyrling Appearance: A'lor is a solidly built young man. He stands a shade over 5'10" and has sandy hair and hazel eyes. He's on the husky side, and if it weren't for the fact that he recently Impressed, it's likely he'd be the sort who would easily gain lots of weight. His hair has a tendency to curl, and is thick. He also has a lot of hair on his chest and arms. His face isn't particularly handsome, and in fact he seems rather homely. He hasn't entirely gotten over his teenage acne, which doesn't help matters any, and he has the scars to prove it. But his eyes are wide and guileless and open, and every emotion is written plainly on his sleeve. Personality: For the most part, A'lor is quiet and reserved. He makes it a point to speak as little as possible. This has made him come off as a bit stand-offish, although that's not his intention. He tends to light up when he sings, though, and he has a pleasant baritone. He can often be seen with paper and pencil, writing scraps of poetry. The sheer volume of sonnets to his life mate would be truly embarrassing if anyone ever found out. History: Arenlor was the son of minor Potholders beholden to Arolos Hold, so the South is bred in his bones. The fifth of eight children, he was another mouth to feed, and he was clearly not the parental favorite, especially when he developed a stutter in childhood. Many thought he was slow-witted, which frustrated everyone, not least Arenlor. Information about A'lor's dragon Dragon Name: Steddath Colour: Blue Age: 0 Wing (Weyrling Group): None Appearance: Although a blue could never be described as 'metallic' or 'shiny', Steddath will roll out of his egg the bright, incandescent blue of tempered metal. Any forge worker worth his salt will recognise the shade of 'bluing' and will likely be fascinated by the young dragonet. Although he is of firm, proud bearing, a stance that anyone with formal training can admire, it is therefore unfortunate that one of Steddath's front legs is a little shorter than the rest. He has a tendency to hold it up where possible and tuck it out of the way. Personality: Stoic and determined, Steddath will cling firmly to his duty, fully aware of his place and proud of his rank. But he has a deeply romantic and passionate side, one that will cause him to pursue the current object of his affections to the end of the earth, enduring crippling tests along the way that may often result in a bittersweet ending, especially if there are any jealous parties who might interfere.
